Its weird, when I first became an Ap back in 04, I used to watch Wishes pretty much every night at the MK and Illuminations at Epcot. But then it slowly evolved to one viewing a trip, and now I dont watch either show anymore. I never really cried during any of them, I do remember feeling a bit emotional during one wishes viewing but never cried. But its very weird, I was watching Philharmagic one time and almost started crying. I think it was during the Aladdin segment, either that or Peter Pan. And I just felt this emotion in me and I felt the magic, and I started to tear up a little. Its hard to explain, and its a bit embarassing, but it is what it is.

Being old enough to remember "Disneyland" - the TV Show in the mid-1950's, what breaks me up is leaving the Magic Kingdom at night, looking up Main Street at the Castle bathed in light, and hearing Jiminy Cricket singing "When You Wish Upon A Star." Not sure they still do this after Wishes, but that got me every time; my wife understood, but the (then) teenage daughter, not so much.

ok I got a little choked up during wishes when I saw it for the first time. It had been 21 years sense my last visit and I had just returned from afghanistan and it all just brought back fun memories with the family. It was a good moment :)

Oh yeah, Festival of the Lion King!

Sheesh. I'm blubbering every second attraction while I'm there.

And I totally bawl at that one DVC cart, you know the one that
I mean, the one with the sales guy and the brochures.

I am not a man, but it definately takes a MAN to admit that he cries during certain things in wdw. There are things in wdw that make be cry everytime im there...

Wishes always makes me tear up. And my last day in the parks before we have to go home, almost every one of my fave classic rides brings a tear to my eyes while I'm on them, just knowing that I'm leaving and won't be back til next year...mainly SSE, anywhere in MK, the resorts, and World Showcase.

I have to say, I'm impressed by the number of people willing to own up to this. Good for you all :). If you feel WDW so deeply, you must really understand the magic (and you should consider yourselves lucky, because not everyone who visits does).

I'm a girl, but I usually have really good control and never ever cry where people outside my family might see me (and even they rarely see). The past two trips, though, I've lost it a little bit on the Magical Express on the way to the airport. Something about the video, combined with craning your neck to get one last look at ToT (or whatever landmark you look for)..... I don't know, it just gets me.

Leaving Magic Kingdom on the last night is tough too, but I've never cried there. Only had the urge to walk backwards out of the park to keep the castle in view as long as possible... but I concluded too many people would stare .

Mines probably Illuminations the first time I saw it with my new wife. She was 21 and had never been to Disneyworld and it was great to show her all the magic. It was great to share those moments with my new bride!

I'm a grown man and I admit I sometimes cry at WDW.

Not at shows, or attractions though.

I cry when I see castmembers giving special attention to those guests with special needs.

I saw a band playing at EPCOT once and there were 3 severely mentally handicapped individuals in wheelchairs watching the show. The castmembers on stage on several occasions during the show made sure to play directly to those individuals in the wheelchairs.

The handicapped individuals were clapping and laughing and singing along with the band like it was their own private show which it pretty much was.

I started thinking that these individuals, who probably don't have many happy moments in their lives except for when Love and attention is given to them from those friends and family members close to them. Well those folks on that stage did just that...they not only showed them Love, but also treated them with respect and dignity. When I saw the joy on the faces of those people in wheelchairs in the audience, I too felt their joy, and My eyes welled up, and for a few moments I cried like a baby...

..and I'm not, my friends, ashamed to admit it.

This is just one of several reasons why I go back time and time again to Disney World.:)

I guess I will admit it too, two things of the top of my head. One, when the music starts for the Spectromagic parade. Two, when I went to MK last trip and got there early enough to see the park opening ceremony, I thought that was pretty awesome.

I had alot of teary-eyed moments.

...When we first entered MK, walking on Main Street, and the Castle comes into view.

...When DD met the princesses, and Aurora gave her a great big hug and a kiss.

...When at DH, we found Mickey at a M&G all by himself with no wait, and DD took off running to him, and gave him a huge hug.

...When DD got her make-over at the BBB in MK. I had to excuse myself for a few minutes.

And then, of course, there was the ride on the DME bus back to MCO. I cried like a baby during the movie they play. I teared up at first, then looked over at DW to make sure she wasn't watching me. She had her eyes glued to the screen, with tears running down her face, then I started too.

This is a great thread. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I can't wait to be back there and tear up all over again. LOL 136 days and counting...

Nah, you're not nuts. In my world there aren't any rules on when a man should or shouldn't cry. There are some incredibly moving areas and sights in WDW.
perfect description

I have never cried once at WDW although I have been known to get "fireworks fallout" in my eyes during illuminations especially during the peace on earth tag.:lookaroun
That is definitely a moving statement... with an incredible stage for it.

That gets me every time as well. Come to think of it I think I have welled up more at Epcot than any other place on the planet.

One more thing to add to the list. Snoopy's final song as Emil at the final Hoopla makes me cry like a baby. I can't even read the lyrics without tearing up.
i agree. Epcot has sent tingles down my spine for years. I cant ever really explain to Sam what it means to me and her understand.

Im not sure why, but the score to Soarin makes me smile/tear up.

Out of all the times i have visited, I saw AA for the first time to memory during C25. Holy Cow. It forever owns me. What a show. When i listen to "Golden Dreams", the monologue in the middle of the song gets me every time. I just cant wait for Sam and Issie to see it.

AA is certainly something at times, but no one's mentioned one of my favorites (never guess with my username) that can oddly bring a tear too:
The Baroque Hoedown.

Only cried once at WDW, and that was during my last trip. Riding Dumbo of all things with my daughter during the finale to Wishes. Couldn't help it, it was just so beautiful!

Cried at Disneyland once last trip, also during the fireworks. Was just watching it, but got lumps in my throat throughout the whole thing and then actually cried during the finale. Man, Remember...Dreams Come True really puts Wishes to shame.

Got a little misty-eyed first time I rode the Disneyland Space Mountain when you come out of the lift hill tunnel and the music swells up...it was just so freaking cool compared to the Space Mountain I was used to!
