Man rides Haunted Mansion 999 Times

Man, he must hate that attraction now - that would seriously kill the magic for me.

This makes me wonder, however, why Disney doesn't have more incentives for things like this - ie. "Ride this attraction one hundred times and receive a free pin!" .. or something like that.

PS. Chalk up another Rush fan here

I think that's really cool, and it shows the heart of a true Disney Fan. I think I could ride that ride that many times. Especially if you have a pass I think it could be done.

I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but I'm curious, how do they know he actually rode it that many times. I mean, does Disney keep track or is it by his word? I just want to know how they keep these kind of records?

Imagine seeing it in your sleep.:lookaroun I mean, how could you get it out of your head. I could see this over time, but wow in that short period of time, I would go nuts...:hammer: But, I would like to try anyway if I had the chance

One trivia question I've always wondered about:

Are there actually 999 ghosts as they claim?

Somewhere on the net (I can't remember where though) I have seen a list/count of the 999 ghosts at HM. Some of them were a stretch of the imagination, like each appearance of the Raven, each tombstone, the staring pictures in the gallery, etc.

Thanks Jekyll,

I had imagined that they would need to count some of those things in order to achieve the 999 count, since there clearly aren't 999 animatronics on the ride.

999 ghost

NO ONE else has ridden it 999 times in ten months, not since I was there or my wife, who is still there currently. She signed off on some of the log entries. Gary truly did this, I signed off on ride #s' 991-995..
Ask Ginger, residing "Lady of the Mansion", no one has ever tried this before, Ginger has been there a long time, she would know.:sohappy:

Uh...read again. Haunted Mansion 999 times, not ToT...
I was using Tower of Terror as an example of a ride I love, to draw the parallel between my thoughts and the actions of the man in the article (who obviously loves the Haunted Mansion).

What is the daily record here for Mission Space? I'm done after two rides.

"They call me the working man. I guess that's what I am." Old 70's Rush fan here! Got my first record when I was 15. Yes, I said RECORD!
