I've seen that before. It's veeeery cool. We have many adult-level Lego sets so the work wasn't lost on us. I bought a book many years back how to do scale Lego models but I don't think any if us has ever read it. LOL!

That's nothing. My brother-in-law is trying to build a DCL ship out of his RV!!!

(His RV was crushed by a tree in Hurricane Sandy. He's trying to rebuild it using DCL colors, fabric, making the rooftop AC unit into a red "funnel", etc. He's nuts, I tell ya!!)

Well I learned something new by reading that article. I never knew that on "classic" ships, the lifeboats were on the top deck, but mordern ships have to have them lower. The curved glass projections on the top decks of the Disney Ships are supposed to invoke images of a classic liners lifeboats.

It's still in the planning phases. The expense of the repair is almost as much as buying a new one of the same size. He's hoping to get a TV show out of it, like a "This Old House" project, only for the RV. He's approached DCL for the possibility of getting fabrics and accessories for the re-build, or even partnering with him as a sponsor for the TV project. He received a reply from pretty high up with a couple of nice gifts, but no partnership.

This post is useless without pics. :D I really like your family, Chuck! Your BiL has the right idea. It's not just lemons into lemonade. That's like a whole new level of optimism and awesomeness!
