Making sure we see Fanstasmic!

God bless the "Ignore" button.
My family and I are headed down to WDW right about when DHS is opening American Idol :hurl:. What's the best way to make sure we can see Fantasmic!? I know it's only done on certain nights, but what nights? Also, is there still that little reserved section of seating if you eat at the Brown Derby or other restaurants?

The nights for Fantasmic are a bit all over the map right now. Per the official calender it will be on Monday and Friday nights in February and Wednesday and Thursday nights in March. With the drastically reduced showings the crowd waiting for seats at Fantasmic will more than likley be nothing short of insane. Because of this I would get the Fantasmic Dining package which will give you dinner at Brown Derby, Mama Melrose, or Hollywood & Vine as well as reserved seats at Fantasmic.

Though the limited-night showings may start making a decent seat even harder to get, we've never really had trouble as long as we gave 45 minutes to get situated.

i get their 1 1/2 hrs before. I need to be in perfect spot 6 rows under the sebastion sign and on the right side. No poles in the way. Then the magic stats. well worth it!

Tonight was the first night of shows with the reduced schedule for fantasmic. I was working in costuming at fantasmic tonight. From where i was working during the show, I had a pretty good view of the entire theater. There were 2 shows tonight, at 6:30 & 8. EMH started at 7, but im not sure how they handled fantasmic with it being completely during EMH. The theater was down to standing room only for the first show. It could have been full standing room (no more people are even allowed to stand in the back) but costuming doesnt hear much of that kind of info. For the second show, which was completely during EMH, the right side of the theater was pretty much full, but the far left section was about half empty. Everything else was full. I would suggest that if you're going to want to see the show, try to get there as early as possible. The theater opens for guests about an hour & a half before the show.
