Making Magic with MJ

I was working that day, and the boss called me and told me to sit down and turn on the TV. I thought he was kidding - he knew how busy I was with the youngest (she was 4 then, the other 2 were in school). I laughed and asked him where he kept the bon-bons. he got very serious and said "No, go turn on the TV now - the US is under attack!" I tuned in just in time to hear the news from the Pentagon, and then the awful sight of the towers falling - I'll never forget it. I sat with the little one on my lap and sobbed.:(

with everything i have on my plate today... i haven't even turned on the TV yet.... *sigh* I remember. I won't forget. But it would be too much for me to have to carry those emotions on top of the one's i'm already dealing with today... *sigh*

Me too Betty, I sat with MJ in my lap for hours that day...

Jess, that is okay we all mourn in different ways, watching the coverage isn't the only way of remembering.

Why is it that some days the phone rings non-stop, and some days not at all? I heard from 3 very dear friends this morning that I hadn't talked to in ages - lots to catch up on....

One of my strongest memories of that day was waiting to know where flight 93 was before it went down. My daughters were both away away from home that morning. . .one in an office building in Center City Philadelphia and the other at school at Temple University. As long as that flight remained unaccounted for, I remained in a panic for their safety. When they finally reported that the flight had crashed, it was almost a relief. I've always felt badly about that. Those poor people. All of those poor people.

Not only those who died - in a way, they were the lucky ones. The ones who lived through it have their own suffering that is just so unimaginable.... :(

Hi Nibbs! How was your weekend?
My weekend was great. I went to Red Lobster with what's his face on Friday. On Saturday, I had a wedding to work at which took place at a winery. Then we left from there to go down to the lake for the weekend...there was a photography conference on Sunday that my mom wanted to go to. So Sunday we hit that up, then I came back home last night. Busy weekend, yet again.

So true Betty! That day was such a tremendous shock for all of us who were so far removed from it. I can't imagine what it was like for those who lost loved ones. Hell on earth, I would imagine.
