I'm so sorry - sort of? Kind of when I offered to quit my job and the boss said "no please don't, you're the only materenal influence they have, etc." Then we all know what happened 2 weeks later.....So, after a particulary horrendous day at work on Thursday, I went back in this morning pretty much determined to quit. But, today was my 30 day evaluation, at which my General Manager told me she absolutely loves me and can't believe what I accomplish on my shift! Then she gave me a raise!![]()

And if that doesn't work for you, just think of poor Dot schlepping coffee while you're living our dream job!To Joanna:
((HUGS))
Please don't let this one setback color your opinion of yourself. You know you are a valuable employee. Continue to give your best to whatever job you are assigned and be proud of yourself for doing that! That's all anyone can ask of you and all that you should expect of yourself.
Hi Bonny - glad you're feeling better. Stomach bugs are no fun! Did you eat anything yesterday?
Sounds like a relaxing day. ENJOY IT!

How much of a raise?
So is this good or bad? Hugs either way...

I totally hear you on that one - somehow when we know we're appreciated it makes us forget what we didn't like about it. I'd say take it on a week-by-week basis - you'll know when you're ready to quit.I'm so mixed up.:hammer:
The raise isn't much, but the fact that I am appreciated sort of makes it a bit more bearable! For now I'll continue to hang in and see what happens. Take it day by day. George says he's behind me, whatever I decide to do. So that helps a lot too!

Just don't wait til it's more than you can stand! It's OK to quit you know...Exactly what I intend to do. If I somehow adjust to the pace and am not so tired all the time, I'd definitely stay. Maybe that will happen. We'll see.
So, since we didn't get to go see MIL yesterday, we'll be going later this afternoon. Since usually Sunday is when BIL and SIL go, guess who I'll be with all afternoon!![]()

Yeah - it will be interesting to see if she even mentions it.Oh no!
And right before your interview!
I think we're cut from the same mold on that one though....probably something about the way we were brought up.That's what George says. I'm a really bad quitter. I'm too much of a people pleaser. I hate that about me.
