Making Magic with MJ

Morning!

I'm not sure of the kosher rules myself.. I know it has something to do with not mixing your dairy and meats together... and no pork or shellfish. I think the cake had to be made without eggs or something. I'll have to look into it.
sounds gross....

I've heard it said things come to us when we are ready for them, and I truly believe that.

You get to go twice...fun! I know you live close, you're so lucky. Every once in a while I get it into my head that I should move down there (we're in PA) but then I think I would miss the seasons too much. I'm such a mid-atlantic girl.

Me too, although, sometimes I wish G-d didn't trust me so much.

Don't over rate the enthusiasm ! All it takes is Emma looking up with those pleading eyes and saying, " Daddy, please".

She's my world, and I melt !
I raised my first two back in the 70's and 80's. I was blessed with a 1#-14oz miracle nearly 20 years later, and she gets anything she wants !

I'm that way with MJ, DH is the moderating force. This thread is full of Special needs kids, I do hoipe you'll stick around and even visit us at The Spot

Yes, you're seeing right. Three months premature. I was told I probably would'nt be bringing her or her mom home. 105 days later I proved them wrong with the help of God and a wonderful neonatal intensive care unit. Three weeks later Emma's mom came home after a kidney transplant. Yeh, I can tell you about miracles !!

Hooray for Emma! Hooray for you! Hooray for Emma's mom! And especially, hooray for God!

You are so in the right place for this post...I know of at least one other person who can relate to your story. And I myself have seen two precious miracles come into the world....my "twincess" nieces, who together didn't weigh 5 pounds when they were born, and are now 4 years old and going to Disney on the big family trip in 5 days.

For sure. MJ was only 4 weeks preemie, but she wasn't breathing when she was born and was failure to thrive until she was 2

Hooray for your neices ! Hooray for family trips !

I also read in another thread of the incident with your daughter's glasses.
I can relate to the heart wrenching feeling of seeing the disappointment in your children when something like that happens.

We're very blessed that with Emma's being born so early she only had a few problems. She was born with an eye defect called cola boma iris that left her blind in her right eye. Her left is good but she wears glasses ( when I insist she keep them on ) to protect her good eye.

Her blind eye isn't developed fully and appears smaller that her right. It often draws stares and questions, from other children as well as adults. It never seems to bother her, but tears my heart out at times. I usually reply that I've just been blessed with a very unique special little princess !

I totally hear you here, the kids don't bother me so much, I like them to ask so they can be educated, the grown ups drive me nuts

I'll certainly check it out. I'll have to post a few of Emma in my albums. Here's a link to one old one I found on the' puter when Emma was a month old.

Belated Happy Birthday to Maggie

Enjoyed the chit chat this evening with you guys, but it's late and I have to be up at 5am.
Good night to you all. Hope to catch up with you again soon.

For those on the way to WDW this week, have a safe trip and oodles of fun. I've got 68 more days and can hardly wait !

Nite nite. :snore:

Awww, what a cutie! Maybe we'll see you guys while you're here.

Indeed you are blessed!

I myself have lived a whole life with a "y eye", as we call it in my family. My left eye is lazy and doesn't see to good at all...and all my life doctor's reccommended glasses, not so much to make my "bad" eye see (though, bless their hearts, they tried!), but to protect my "good" eye. You are right on with that! You should insist on the glasses. My left eye alway looks bigger with glasses...I always call it my "sci-fi eye" but I'm a big girl and can handle looks and stares. It does tear your heart out though, when it's your baby...people can be awful, but in the case of little kids I try to mark it up to curiosity.

Us too

Morning all

Hope everyone is well, just too much for me to keep caught up on.

Morning Mad! I never try to really catch up on the late night chatter, too much for me.

Good morning!

Morning Dot

Quick hello - I've got to go count money in a few minutes, but I'm here for 5 or so....

Morning Betty

Anybody home?

Morning Krystyna, HUGS

We do go on! :o

Ya think?

Good morning everybody!!! I'm goofing off at work....can't help it, I'm so excited, we leave on Friday.

Okay, back to work!!

Have a magical day!

Cool Amy! If you see us while you're here, wave!

I actually picked out the dresses... We were looking for something red initially... and it just jumped out at me off the rack. I'll probably be able to wear it again. :sohappy:

:o

The flowers were nice, but the cake wasn't. I've never had a kosher cake before... it wasn't to my liking, and I rarely meet a cake I don't like.

Kosher food takes some getting used to. We're only Biblically Kosher

Morning!

I'm not sure of the kosher rules myself.. I know it has something to do with not mixing your dairy and meats together... and no pork or shellfish. I think the cake had to be made without eggs or something. I'll have to look into it.

The no dairy with meat I never understood, the verse it's based on is about boiling a kid in it's mother's milk, but they don't eat chicken with cheese either and chickens don't make milk...

Heading out to WalMart - anaybody need anything?

MJ needs new pants.

Just something I just found out. If you drink the 20 oz. bottles of coke. There are codes inside of the lids. Anyway on My coke rewards. you can save up for tickets and other things for DL. and Disney on line.:sohappy:

Does anyone do the rewards thing for Coke?

The Princess has been up since 5, so she's a little cranky, she's laying down watching TV now, maybe she'll nap (nah, too much to ask for) Someone loaned herthe Cat in the Hat movie, so that is our movie of the day around here...sigh
