Making films based on attractions.

I think Expedition Everest would make a great movie. Just imagine a runaway train running through the mountains and a yeti chasing you.

Well, we can "imagine" it, but that's hardly what happens on the ride so I don't think that would exactly be a movie based on the ride. It would be more like a movie based on what the ride should have been.

Isnt Jungle Cruise loosely based (or at least, inspired by) the classic film The African Queen? How about a movie-based on a ride-based on a movie instead of a ride-based on a movie-based on a ride!

Of course the funny thing about both of these ideas is that these two attractions were both inspired by non-Disney movies that had been made. The Jungle Cruise was inspired by "The African Queen" and Body Wars was very much inspired by the movie "Fantastic Voyage".

Ummmm...Is there an echo in here? Apparently its a delayed echo too, as JAG107's post was about an hour and a half after mine.

They had a movie sometime in the 80's that is similar to Body Wars. I think the movie was called Innerspace(??)

Yep, it was Innerspace. But the movie that more closely resembles Body Wars was the one I mentioned earlier in this thread... Fantastic Voyage (1966). Just a little trivia on that one, it was directed by Richard Fleischer, who also directed Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
