I’m still waiting for you to say something…anything…substantive.

Or do we get “that’s not the way things are…” for the 2,000th time? With no substance.

I give you the benefit of the doubt of knowing that the SEC has absolutely no idea what goes on where the sausage is made for large corporations…

Are they tracking the fuel expenses for Amazon trucks?

It takes gross impropriety and a whistleblower to get so much as an eyebrow raise.

Nobody is this naive. Disney can’t lie because of the SEC? That’s a frequent excuse for Disney on forums. It’s not a “thing”
I’m waiting for you to say something… anything… factual and on topic

I never said Disney couldn’t lie because of the SEC. But this comment proves you don’t even understand the lie you claim is being made.

Who is Disney lying to exactly?

“Family” is technically correct…but still a stretch for my purposes.

You can get a nice family trip on presque isle…if you do some things

Cedar point itself is a bit of a waste if eating bugs going high and fast isn’t your jam
If your definition of Family is multigenerational or those with young kids then yes it's a stretch.
I go to those parks a lot and I see very similar families that go to Disney go to parks like Dollywood, Cedar Point and Silver Dollar City.

IMO the problem is many Disney fans look at those parks in the same light that Burbank looks at Disney parks. They don't understand them and they are for carnies.

I’m not casting dispersions on any of those parks. I actually think we’ll squeeze knotts in coming up when we’re in the neighborhood…

But the thing about Disney parks is they are pretty even keel for 3 year olds up to 80 year olds…
That’s the genius in the original concept/design

Yes Disney is tops for families of all ages.

To bring this back on topic in regards to discounts and price, Disney has always cost more than every other park. Same with Universal. Til the last few years the price gap between a Dollywood or Cedar Point trip wasn't as big as it is now. IMO it's why you see average guests opt for those parks instead of Disney. Those parks aren't on the same level as the Orlando parks but they also don't require a second mortgage to visit.

Disney needs to get their **** together and stop pricing out the average guest.

Imo I consider <15 mins traditional walking distance, with 20 mins pushing it and 25-30 being a little too much for it to be reasonable. I certainly don’t mind 30 and can even do an hour but at that level, most people are looking at vehicles.

Iirc Aventura is like 25 mins? Not the worst, but I don’t think most Aventura guests are walking.
Google maps says Aventura to IoA is 20, but it depends on one's pace. I've always been able to outpace google.

Also, it depends which path. Google maps suggests the leisure path, which is the long way around. We always follow the 'convention pathway' option which is more direct. From Aventura, walk directly to SF (3min according to Google). At SF, walk directly through the convention area to RP's convention space to follow the RP path to the park. (According to Google, RP to IoA is 9minutes.) Google maps won't give me info for the convention path between SF and RP's convention spaces, but they are almost connected. The space between them is a small service road. So being very generous, 9 + 3+ 4= about 16min Aventura to IoA.

Google says it is 5min between IoA and US, which sounds a bit slow imo.

Even still that puts Aventura within 22minutes to both parks, and Sapphire Falls under 20 to both.

Google maps puts Yacht club to HS at 23minutes, and BC to HS at 26minutes. If we're going to say both of those are within walking distance to HS, then Aventura is also within walking distance to 2 theme parks. (The original comment was about YC being within walking distance, if I recall correctly.)

I'd also add that the walks at UOR are far more pleasurable too with gardens and heavy landscaping to block out the sun. Disney's pathways (especially the ugly pathway between MK & GF) lack vegetation to keep you cool 3/4 of the year.
