I have a feeling this is a very similar if not identical show MK will get.. Hopefully with a few more fireworks and maybe projections on Main Street.

Remember a new nighttime show is only rumoured for the 50th. Wishes is very popular still so who knows?!

As for Mr. ImOnTheFence: I think a few well placed zappers imbedded on the top of the railing that can be individually triggered by security might work. Don't want to zap people simply holding the rail, just the ones with their rears placed on it.

I take it the newly planted trees on the east side of the hub will not grow that much?

It's interesting to see the ramps being redeveloped, but it's just a shame that stage is still there.

This needs a full contingent of actual fireworks to be impressive. I do love those lasers, though.

Are you talking about the current layout of the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage? Cause that came in 2005 for Cinderellabration. As for the stage itself, a stage has always been present for years and years.

I can personally say that the castle has had a stage since at least 1991, and I only say that specific year because 1991 was my first visit. It was there back then. I can't say how long it has been there prior to that, probably wasn't even new when I first visited.

I do recall the show back then seemed to involve some of the Disney Afternoon TV characters. I know I recall seeing the Ducktales characters and hearing the theme music.

Not quite, it's been there for years. Much longer than that, it goes back atleast to the early 90s if not earlier.

There have been small and themed stages on Cinderella Castle since at least 1975. But you could barely notice them. 2005's stage was a behemoth. Throws off the scale and everything.

I wouldn't call it a "behemoth". The stage has the same footprint as it did prior to 2005. All they did was add the two spiral staircases and arches.

The new turrets actually don't detract from the view of the castle as much as I thought they would.

Now if they looked like this, they wouldn't detract from it at all...
