Yup this troll pops up in every thread about MSEP, surprised they didn't bust out their juvenile go to quote "MSEP drools, Spectro rules!". For their sake I hope they're no older than 11.

LOL!!!! Oh god almost spit out my Coffee over that!!!! So true though ..so true! There are those that always "pop up"!

Me too. There are a few trolls now that "pop up" in specific threads, but this MaryJaneP definitely comes out every time we talk about Main Street Electrical Parade. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, sure, but it's pretty clear to me that MSEP's return has been a big hit so far at WDW.

A guy tells me he has 'inside' information that MSEP will end in November. This has me worried for my upcoming January trip. . . Is this even in the realm of possibility? Wouldn't they give a few months' notice before it leaves, and make a big deal out of it, like they did when it left in 2001? I would like to believe we have at least until the end of next summer to enjoy this classic parade before a (hopefully much needed) upgraded SpectroMagic makes its return...

Side note: SpectroMagic is no longer listed on the official website under "Entertainment" where it once was. This would (maybe?) support the idea that MSEP is going to be around for a while...

While I hope it stays till you make your trip, I will say that I am a fan of the MSEP, I grew up with it, but if the presentation we witnessed in late October was any indication of it's current state, I can understand why people are demanding spectro's return. The whole thing just seemed rushed together, the updated music, while sounding like the original, lacks its emotion, and the floats seemed randomly placed, without any flow. I was so excited to see it our past trip but was left feeling like 'That was it?', put me in the camp that would like to see an updated spectro return to the MK.

Thanks. I have got to agree with you about the music. Not sure yet, how I feel about the floats, but the original Baroque Hoedown and float music was perfect. I understand they wanted to get rid of the strange 3-beat measure in the middle of it, but certainly they didn't have to change what was already the perfect music for the parade. The Dream Lights version just sounds like a cheap MIDI file, or programmed keyboard. It lacks the warmth that the original Analog synthesizers gave it. I have a dream that when this parade finally returns to Disneyland, they just might change the music back. But who knows!!

Don't worry DLP isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
