Hi!

A friend of my sister's recently got back from her WDW trip, and she was giving us tips on what to see and do when we go in March (as if we haven't been there dozens of times ourselves :hammer: ). She was raving, however, about something I've wanted to do for years - getting a haircut at the Main Street Barber Shop.

I was just wondering, for those of you who have done it - what do they offer? And, in your opinion, is it worth the $15 for the experience? The friend in question is in her 40's, and both my sister and I are early-20's, but I was sort of excited about the pixie dust lol. What are other options for style, cut, etc. at the shop?

Thanks!!

I would definitely do it.

Look at it this way--if you don't like the haircut:

--it's only hair, and it grows
--WDW has an extensive assortment of hats for sale

Yes, you could permanently take to wearing a goofy hat, or a pair of mickey ears!

They offer haircuts. The barber shop title is really just for theming's sake. All of the CM's who work there are WDW Cosmetologists who have extensive experience (look for Michal when you're they're). They'll pretty much do anything there that you need, short of recoloring.

I wouldn't get one if I wasn't a little boy. Lot's of little boys get them, though. I see lot's of little boys with the sprayed on colored Mickey heads.

My kids did it last week and loved it. It was definately worth the money. Be sure to take your camcorder and cameras. They add some extra touches that you wont get at home. While we were there the quartet came in a sang 3 or 4 songs for us.

I'll see if i can attach a pic of my son and his haircut.

Oh-my-gosh! That haircut makes most pop rock bands look like wimps!

Rock on! (Although I'd say I'd have to leave that style to the younger, "cooler" generation!)

A few years back I got my hair cut there when the Barber shop was located on the other side of the building in the flower market. It was a lot of fun. I got a great cut and even had people (not people in my party) taking my picture and video taping me as I sat there. It is worth the experience even you only do it once.

 That hair cut is GREAT!!

Not exactly what I was going for, but definitely great.

My hair is long, and I figured I'd just do a regular-type hair cut, but...hmmm, who knows, maybe I'll search for something fun and Disney and see what I end up with!!

Man--that is serious pixie dust.

I was thinking they put a little glitter in your hair--that is more like confetti.

But my 9 year old (boy) would love it.

Forget 9 year olds, on our next trip ill no longer be an employee of Betty Windsors Flying Circus and had planned on doing something with my hair, well let it grow for a start, and this could be just the thing to get revenge on two teenage daughters. I wonder if they could shave it in??

I once got a shave there. Straight razor, hot towels, the whole nine yards. My face was as smooth as a baby's bottom for three days. Burned like heck, but smoooooothh.

BTW, when you wash your hair that night, it takes a couple of times to get out all of the color and pixie dust. It's kind of a mess but still well worth it. My daughter also had her hair colored and pixie dusted but not cut.

Here is the clean up process.
