I have herd romoros about the oninal main steet elecrtical prade coming back to disneyworld next year is going to happen? I hope it does becuse I liked that prade alot and I was upset when I found out in 91 that was going to be the final year for the prade I got to see the prade in 99 and 01 but it wasn'nt the onganl prade that I wached when I was younger I relly want to see the prade again the oninal prade that used to be at the park. Will I ever get a change to see the oninal main steet elerital prade again? Will I have to go to hong kong disneyland to see the prade or will it come back to disneyworld for next year? I hope that the prade comes back next year becuse I am plaing to go disneyworld next year and my gril frend might come with me and I want her to see the prade becuse see as never been to disneyworld before and see has never seen the prade and I want her to see the prade and I want to see the prade again.

This is the first I've heard anything about this, but you can currently see the parade down in Disney's California Advernture.

I heard the floats were completely dismantled after SpectroMagic took over
But they did remove the Pleasure Island stuff and change the name to Disney's Electrical Parade.

Spectromagic can't hold a candle to MSEP.(no pun intended) Spectromagic is just not near as impressive, the floats are not as brightly lit and not near as mobile. Ad me to that list as well, I would pay to bring MSEP back to WDW!

We saw the main street electrical parade at DisneyLand last year and it looked fantastic - I'd forgotten all about Pete's Dragon till I saw it there. Some of the dancers costumes seemed to be more lights than anything else too - not sure how they do it...
The only bad things about it's the music - some 70s synth pop that gets into your head and won't get out. I even have to watch the video with the sound off!
How about a slightly updated version with some newer characters (not Stitch - he seems to be getting everywhere at the moment)?

I think the music is one of the best parts, because it gets stuck in your head. They could add some new characters and update it a little, as long as it came back to WDW I'd be happy.
Hopefully WDW will get TDL`s Dreamlights when they are done with it - you know how they like to throw things away!
For those who don`t know, Dreamlights is the MSEP updated. Same music, but re recorded (and much more emotional, but still on a synth) and with similar floats to MSEP. Instantly recognisable, but with modern technology. Think MSEP meets Spectro. Hunt down a video on the net (there are a few) and be amazed!

I just can't see past Spectomagic. I LOVE that parade. Spectomagic was there the first time I went to Walt Disney World and I fell in love with it soon as I layed eyes on it. Was so disappointed with the MSEP, a parade I heard so much about when I first saw it in Paris. The music and everything about it just did not appeal to me.

Hey thats fine!! To each his/her own. Its all about what you've been exposed to first. Since alot of us grew up with MSEP, we nautrally prefer it to SM. But Since you experienced SM first, you naurally prefer that to MSEP. Nothing wrong with that!!DLP Fan said:
