There are quite a few preset 'styles' in photoshop. Depending on the version you have there should be a cartoon ish effect as a preset - just look in the style gallery - probably in the 'artistic' section.

I didn't do much to get it, though. I did the same thing as MattyFresh- used the microsoft photo editor and picked the effect I wanted. :lol: I'm still trying to get the hang of photoshop.

Here's one I was just having a little fun. This is actually just two layers of the same pic. For the foreground, I just erased SSE & let the background image show through. I think I will give it a little more work though, I need to lighten up my son's features & work on the clouds a bit. I would also like to make SSE Multi color!!!

I've played around with that effect a bit. It's a funny one! But I was never able to get it to look good with my pictures. I love it on this one though! Very cool Dot!This is such a great thread. I'm loving seeing other people's creativity!
Here's my effort for the day. Actually, no real effort involved. It's a Photoshop effect that requires only a click of a button. It's called Plastic Wrap.
Simple...but I like it.
