Can someone either direct me to more info. on these pins or answer some questions?

Do they all work in all the parks?
Do they work on most of the rides?( are there better sides of vehicles to sit in for them)
Do all pins work the same way?( if I got two would they each do something different)
Are there better areas to be in for the parades for the pins to react?(do you have to be really close to the floats of something)

sounds fun!

any information would be appreciated

the pins do work in all of the parks, yes. However, they don't work in most of the rides, in fact, they only work in a few of the rides. I don't know if they act differently because I only bought one, soo... You should be near the front of the parade for your pin to light up. When I was there last and a parade was going on and I was trying to make my way though the crowd, the pin didn't work, but when I watched a parade, it went crazy! Hope this helps clear up some stuff. If anyone could give me a help with that one though, I'd appreciate it!

They work in Sounds Dangerous. My daughter was wearing one and that stupid thing kept going off in there when it's supposed to be pitch-black. She thought it was kinda funny! It also worked in Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the parades.

The pins also worked in the Haunted Mansion(at the end)and in one of the 3d movies, I thinks "It's Tough to be a Bug". My favorite though was at the end of Fantasmic. The pin went nuts for like 5 minutes. It was really cool to look around and see all the pins doing the same thing. You can also manually make the pins flash by touching the front of them, but it isn't as cool as when it goes off during a ride or show.

The pins also work in IASW, PoC and WWTBAM. I know there are other rides that it works on, but I can't get my brain to work right now. They are SO much fun!

All the pins do the same sequence when triggered....you pass a trigger an it set of a sequence for a period of time....I know it owkrs on Pirates of the Carribean, Tower Of terro, Spectromagic, River of Time, Dinosaur, betwen Thunder Mountian and Splash Mountain, Alien Encounter, Honey I shrunk the Audience, Great Movie Ride (twice) ...thats all I can think of now

The pins activated for us in many of the rides and at the Marketplace...and during Spectromagic too....we were told they work in the resorts also but don't know that for sure...

In the Tower of Terror it activates as soon as you enter the boiler room....and also when the elevator doors open during the initial lift....it was our experience that the pins activated differently and for various periods of time, depending on where you were....all the colors blinked for several minutes in the boiler room...but two colors blinked for about 30 seconds in the elevator...

In the Haunted Mansion, I remember them activating at the hitchhiking ghosts...

...the pins are real cool...but I wish they would make them a bit lighter...I wore one for a short time but had to remove it cuz it pulled down on my shirt and it felt like it would fall off.

I was debating bringing it to the Marketplace...figures they would go off there....I love the Tower of Terror sequence and the Spectromagic one...and thr blue sequence in Fantasia in the Great Movie Ride....and yes Tramp they are heavy and I hate checkin to make sure they are not falling off!!!!!!

I would really love to have one of those pins - any info on how to purchase one if you can't get to the parks in time?

Tramp - what happened to your eye patch?

You can get them on Ebay or maybe someone on here can volunteer to pick them up for you and you charge you shipping and actaul costs...I saw that happen here before......I here that the transmitters in the parks that set them off will be in place permanently

My wife and I bought the pins. They are pretty cool. I was disappointed the pins didn't activate while riding Spaceship Earth. I don't recall if it went off during JII . Most of the MK attractions they will do something, heck they even go off when you flush the toilets at WDW. :D

Do the pins work at any of the parks or do you have to have a specific pin for a specific park? In other words, will an EPCOT pin work at the Magic Kingdom?

All the pins work in all the parks. I have the EPCOT one and my wife has the MK one. For the most part they do the same thing at the same time. Beware, the batteries dont last long (about 6-8 hours if your lucky), the pins come with an extra set, but after that your on your own. I think I paid $12.00 for replacement batteries for two pins off property. On property it would have been $20

Oh my, I can't believe I forgot about that! I must say that most of my "Magical Moments" were in the restroom. You can't help but laugh when you see that pin going off and you are trying to get out of the restroom!

Tell us what size, type and how many batteries they use and we can bring some extras when we go on our trip. This will save time by not having to go and find some later.

Thanks:)

Are those the small "button" type of batteries? Like those for hearing aids? We will be there for 6 days in Dec. and I want to make sure I have enough for the whole trip.
