First let me get this out of the way "sorry I could not come up with a snappy trip report title". Ok, so this is my first trip report so bear with me. I'm writing this with lots of help from DD, AKA "miss purdy".
Anyway my family includes me DH Scott, my DW Sandy and DD Kaitlyn(the afore mentioned miss purdy).
Our trip ran from Sep. 28th to Oct.6th. We orginally planned our trip for Sep. 29th - Oct. 5th but modified it slightly as we got closer to our arrival date.
This was our 6th trip to WDW but only the 2nd on property stay. We are now officially spoiled and will probably never stay off property again. There is just nothing like being "immersed" in Disney magic 24 hours a day for the legth of your stay.
We are from NC and always drive down(about 10 hrs or so). This time was no exception. We usually drive down on our arrival day and essentially waste the first day of our vacation on the road. We decided this time to find a "cheaper" hotel close to Downtown Disney and drive down a day early(Sep.28th). We got tickets for MNSSHP that night and stayed at the Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista. It started pouring right as we left the hotel and we were praying that it was just a passing shower. Just as we drove into the TTC it stopped raining and while we were riding the monorail over to the MK this is the view we got out of the window!
Some of the fall decorations at the railway station.
Some more at the front of Main St.
Got this pic of DD in her costume out in front of POTC!
Me and DD on the People Mover. I could ride that thing over and over. It's just a great way to take a break and relax for a bit.
The whole family with Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween garb.
And one of just DD for her autograph book.
We rode all the big ticket rides with the exception of Space Mountain(still haven't talked DD into that one yet) and filled up the trick or treat bags they hand out. I think its a dead heat between BTMRR and Splash Mountain for DD's favorite at MK. Poor DW gets vertigo so she doesn't ride much. We ate at one of the counter service places but for the life of me I can't remember where right now.
We caught the second parade but I didn't get any pics. All these were phone pics and its no good for low light pics. Got a new Nikon now so next trip I'm hoping to get some really good pics.
Anyway we headed back to the room after that because it had been a LONG but GREAT day!
See ya'll at the next post!
