Magical Express Pick Up Time?

So I'm having a bit of a dilemma right now.

My hubby and I are taking a quick last minute trip to the world in August. I have been trying to get reservations at LeCellier at any time during our trip.

I was so surprised when time actually opened up of course on the day we leave.

Our plane leaves at 3:20. Do you think this means that ME will schedule us to be picked up around 12:20? My reservation is actually for 12:00. We are staying at the Boardwalk, so i was hoping that I might be able to get in a bit early and still make it.

Does anyone know what happens if you miss your time? Are there ME buses picking up every once in awhile?

I know this is cutting it close, but I so want filet, potatoes, and pretzel bread!

Your pickup time will be approximately 3 hours before your flight. On Tuesday, we had a 3 pm flight from MCO and our ME pickup time at WL was 12:05.

IMO, you will never make your scheduled pick up time if you have lunch at 12. I've heard conflicting reports as to if you will be able to take a later bus. Personally, I wouldn't do that, because the bus could still have several other resorts to stop at before going to the airport and you could miss your flight. You could always use a towncar service or taxi, but even then, it's cutting it pretty close. Good luck!

I have missed the bus before and taken a later one, as long as your using resort check in for flights, I would go for it. Even taking a later bus we still sat at the gate for almost an hour. Have Fun Le Celliar is worth it.

I would check what the cost might be if you're late for your flight...

Risking being late without knowing the real consequences is something I'd recommend against. I love Le Cell, but...

It may have worked for you, but, and I don't mean this as a "cut" on you, it's bad advice to give to other people. Two reasons:

1) There is not always a DME bus coming around for pick-ups. DME buses come ONLY if there are reservations for that time. In other words, there's no guarantee there will be a bus when you need one.

2) Again, DME bus pick-ups at the resorts are reservation-generated. The "late" bus you hope to get might be slated to be full. The driver is not permitted to let people on a "full" bus if it's not their own scheduled bus. However, there are some drivers who will do this, anyway, since they figure the more people on the bus, the more potential earnings from tips. But you can't count on a shady driver. Moreover, you could be taking up the space of a family who would stress stress stress if they can't get on their alloted bus because it's full. In other words, you very well could be taking up someone else's rightful place.

It is because of these 2 reasons that I say it's bad advice to tell people to just go for it. I fully understand it worked for you, but not everyone will be so lucky.

As everyone has said, I think that Le Cell might be a no go for this trip. The food is darn good but missing your bus and potentially your flight just isnt worth it!!! Best of luck on getting ressies for another day for Le Cell though. Belle

If you want to hit Le Cell, change your flight time. Depending on your airline, it's going to cost you a couple hundred bucks, but if the cost is worth it to you, go for it.

The direct answer to your question, as others have stated, is to ditch the reservation and don't press you luck. Just remember Murphy and his stupid law.

Cheer,
Dave
