Magical Express Lines on a Sunday

Hi Everyone,

Are Sunday lines at the Magical Express typically busy. Our family was there this past November and arrived Sunday, November, 13th around 11:30 am est. The line was so terrible to get onto a Magical Express bus that it took nearly 3 hours! Does anyone know if this is a norm for Sundays and they should be avoided or is it just a fluke? We are in the midst of planning our next vacation for around the same time and a debating on arriving Sunday now because of how bad that was.

Any insight would be very helpful. That was very stressful and just trying to plan better.

Thanks everybody!

Wow. 3 hours. A few weeks ago, we arrived on a Saturday at 07:30. Walked straight through the lines onto an empty bus and left immediatelt for the GF. Like having our own REALLY big limo.

I think time of arrival is as important as day (not to mention the month). I think even busy months can be manageable if you're arrving at a time when landings are slower, like morning and evening instead of midday. I also think people in general are becoming more travel savvy and everyone is thinking of these kinds of things now. So what was common wisdom at one time (like December being the slow time) is not applicable so much.

The last time we used ME, we arrived around 1 p.m. and went down to an empty bus and no line to the Boardwalk... was there within 20 minutes. However... the line to the bus going to some other properties were backed up big time. I think there was over an hour wait for those busses. So, many variables can affect the length of time you have to wait.

WOW that seems a bit crazy!!! I don't think I ever waited more then 30 minutes tops to get on a ME bus at the airport. Obviously during peak times on any given day the waits will be greater. I think the earlier in the day you arrive or the later in the day you arrive the quicker you would get to your resort.

My family experienced Disney's Magical Express for the first time last May. I basically walked onto the bus. There was no wait at all. A cast member checked our reservation and made sure I was going to the right resort and the bus driver put my luggage underneath and away we went. There was only about 15 people on the bus or so. My guess is to cut down on fuel costs they wait until the bus is at least half full.

In the 5 times I have used ME I only had to wait for a bus once and it was only a few minutes. I have always been at resort about an hour after landing at MCO

We have never had to every long for ME. Always got right on and maybe a 20 minute wait for the bus to leave. I would have to guess that was just a one time think. Maybe they were having bus troubles. But as others suggest it might want to try to arrive in the am or later in the PM to avoid the prime times. Good luck and enjoy!!

Wow ok. Thanks for all the great responses. I think the general consensus is that there are typically minimal waits. My guess is there must have been something wrong at the time. Maybe mechanical issues with the buses, or computers down.

Love the avatar by the way SFMarine!
