I know that Christmas Dreams was a ton of Frozen, but I thought I read somewhere that after the Christmas season they added a Frozen scene into the regular show. I could totally be wrong though.
No. Until now the regular Disney Dreams has nothing on Frozen. Just the same show since 2013 (after the addition of Lion King and Brave).

Apparently DLP employees went on strike today, blocking the entrances of attractions, such as Ratatouille (link below, article is in Dutch), apparently because of unsuccessful wage negotiations. I know France is basically the capital of strikes, but I think it's really weird, because coming from an American who worked at DLP, they get paid really well in comparison to similar jobs in the US.

Also, my Dutch isn't that great, but there seems to be a ton of construction walls up around the parks.

Fantastic! Best of luck to the strikers, show 'em who's boss.

Maybe if DLP raises wages and improves employment conditions it could finally find candidates for those 8000 positions it can't fill. Iger's massively increased bonus alone is enough to increase every outstanding unfilled job with $6000 a year, which means DLP could attract Europe's finest service personnel.

It's just really weird to me - compared to similar jobs in the US, DLP's wages are pretty decent.

There are many indeed, as pictures on twitter show. Disney is still very committed to getting things cleaned up for the 25th. Much of Discoveryland is behind walls and Frontierland is expected to be the same next year.

But the results should be well worth it. I don't think it's too bad for people visiting, though and they may take a break for the busy summer months.

Le Carrousel de Lancelot is also closing on the 27th until at least May 31. With a refurb that long I hope they'll properly sand and paint all the horses and details as the ride could really use it.

Following up on my last post Le Carrousel will be closed until July 24 (3 months total!) and the Shootin' Gallery in Frontierland will be reopen on July 4.

Do we know what will be closed in the October/November timeframe?

Too early to tell. Small World is closing on July 27 for a major refurb, but I don't know how long that will last. Wouldn't surprise me if Big Thunder Mountain was closed in the fall.

Looks like Space Mountain and Nautilus will reopen on July 25, same day as the Carrousel.

Guess who sat front row at the premiere of Frozen Summer Fun?

A million Elsa-clad little snowflakes, a handful of much cooler Anna's, and, brushing both aside as if they were summer flies, your intrepid DLP lifestyler me!

Let's say I now never need to hear Let It Go ever again. :/

The sing-a-long wasn't bad for what it was. Although it is just not for me. It is kiddie theater. Disney in the era when people are more interested in hearing their snowflakes sing than a professional on the stage. Predictbly the shows were packed, the lines immense.

I dislike Frontierland being turned into World Showcase...err. ..I mean, Fantasyland. But I also think it at least better than half that land empty as before. Crowd pattern was weird, Discoveryland is a ghost town whith half of it shuttered, while Frontierland was a madhouse all the way to the train station. In an entirely unexpected way, FL turns out to mix well with Arendelle. All that wood can serve as the setting of both! Nor do all those flower patterns clash with late 19th century North America craftswork.

The Frozen parade was just our two fat white Norwegian horses strutting up and down the parade route, completely bare and uncovered. They pulled a carriage with Anna and Elsa. That was all there was to it. Oh, to the tune of Let It Go in 23 languages. What torture.

The Frozen pre show to Dreams was neat. The Frozen segment of Dreams itself replaced Brave, which I thought a good choice. It consisted of, you've guessed it, Let it Go. It felt a bit rushed. More a projection on the castle than an integral, carefully mapped part of the show. Frozen's popularity was shown once again by the fairly large amount of people who left after the segment, midway in Dreams.

Just skimmed through a video of the show on youtube. Looks much more elaborate than its Florida counterpart. Bigger, more detailed set, three screens instead of one, a dozen backup singers and dancers with costume changes and Olaf. I'm 99% sure the cast is larger than the California version too. Go figure Paris gets the best sing along.

I also appreciate that they tried to re-theme Cottonwood Creek Ranch instead of making some bogus backstory about how Anna and Elsa went to Utah in search of gold. :hungover:

It'll be interesting to see how the closing of BTM and the Riverboat will affect Frontierland crowds next year. Maybe they'll keep the sing-a-long as compensation for shutting down the rest of the land (minus Phantom Manor...which may close for its own major rehab)?

*mild spoiler* The set is enormous! Looks good too. A pity most of it stays behind a screen all the way until the last song. I also thought it a bit weird not to have Elsa out until the very end. I mean, the reveal is great, Elsa on that stage looked fantastic. But surely so fantastic they could've brought her and the stage out sooner while still relying on both for the grand finale?
