First, everyone has a right to their own option on the Magic Your Way tickets, and I am not in any way trying to change those options. I just want to add a few facts about the new system.

To those who wondering what one hears from the other side of the counter (I'm the seller, not a buyer of MYW tickets) I would say that once the guest understands the new system and its options, about 90 % of my guest do like the new system better. Some of the tips I advise my guest:

Don't add the "no expiration" option when you first purchase the ticket. The NE option (like all options) can be added anytime up to the 14 day expiration date while at WDW. Simply add it before you leave WDW property if you find you do have unused days and feel the price of the NE option is worth it to save them for a future trip.

If you plan to visit 2 or more of the water parks or other "plus" attractions you are savings money with the Magic Plus Pack Option. If you only plan on visiting one, you save money by purchasing a one day's admission at that attraction.

If you are a first time visitor, (or you have not been in a long time) you will be able to see more and take in more without the Park Hopping option. For repeat guest, the Park Hopping option is really worth it so you can see the "new" stuff, plus all your favorites, regardless of your length of stay.

As I posted above, you are not really paying more then last year to add all the options on. When you factor in the inflation cost of the one day ticket and then compare tickets, the prices of multiday tickets are the same or cheaper then last years prices.

Magic Your Way tickets are a direct factor of guest feedback. Disney did not take anything away from the multiday park hopper of the past, infact Disney added 1, 2, and 3 day hoppers. Something that did not exist before. The creation of 8 and 9 day MYW tickets in February (one month after the program was introduced) was again due to guest feedback. The fact that UK guest still have an Ultimate Park Hopper Pass is again a result of guest feedback. Disney does listen!

The one concern I do hear from guest on the phone is about the discontinuation of the Ultimate Park Hopper (a.k.a. length of stay) Pass. I talked to a cast member in marketing who told me that the "average guest" only used the admission to the other minor parks a few times during their vacation. The number of "plus" visits were determined for the Magic Plus Pack based on the average number of visits guest on the Ultimate Park Hopper Pass used. That is why you get more "plusses" then last year and a reason why the Ultimate was discontinued. The MMP is simply cheaper for most guest.

If you would like your voice to be heard by Disney, write to:

OR

Walt Disney World
Guest Communications
P.O. Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista FL 32830-0040

Include your name, address, e-mail and daytime phone number, and you will be contacted back. In most cases you will recieve a courtesy call stating we got your feedback within a week, and a call back addressing your concerns in about 1 to 2 months, once they have researched your questions.

Again, I am not trying to say anyone is wrong or that anyones opinion is not respected, I just wanted to add to the discussion.

When I started this poll, I had no idea it would cause so much discord among you all. Sorry for that one, but I do appreciate the input from everyone. The new ticket system has its pros and cons, and we all have our opinions, but lets not bite each other's heads off because of them. We're Disney Fans, not Disney CEOs, so lets stop fighting over tickets and just enjoy each other's company. lol:D

50% of people like it. 50% don't. I'm in the latter. It's really that simple.

Just to clarify, however, that a poll at a Disney board frequented by many locals is going to have far different results than polls of "average" guests.
