The Magic Shop in Downtown Disney isn't too bad, it is set up like Houdini's library. Basically a book facade with a magician performing behind a desk.
From DowntownDisney.com:
Name: Magic Masters
Description: Modeled after Harry Houdini's library, you can learn the secrets behind the magic at this upscale shop and take home magic paraphernalia from around the world.
Location: Downtown Disney® area
Its a bit pricey for magic shops ... if you are looking for magic, email me, grasshof@msu.edu -- I love to talk Magic and I know of a few online deals who are very affordable.

I went to the West Side Magic shop. It's just a Library. I didn't see any merchandise, and we hung around and they didn't demonstrate SQUAT!
Maybe you have to say a magic word to get them to perform?

there was one a long time ago, but they have since replaced it with the Emporium 'Megalomart'

Not exactly the Emporium is in it's original location. Although it did recently expand into what used to be center street. The Emporium ALWAYS took up the entire 1st building on the west side Main Street.
The Magic Shops used to be what is now, the "Sports Memorabilia" section of the "Main Street Athletic Club", next to Casey's Corner.
The Rest of the "Athletic Club" is what used to be the "Main Street Arcade".

There is, however, a nifty, new magic shop at Downtown Disney West Side...it has secret passages and cool stuff...
