I love Merida.. probably because my names Meredith and when people say either hers or my name they sound exactly the same. I agree with Doofenshmirtz and Kristamouse it's great that there is no love interest and she is against the possibility of any! My final point is I love my name sounding like a strong, independent tomboy-ish ( I agree with you AllyBaker3) female ( I like to think we are similar) but just remember I came first
