Another magical touch Disney has included into the MK. Staying for the kiss is the best way to end a MK night. You can't say you've done it all until you experience that closing performance.

First time I saw it was in 2008 on our last night. This was my first trip back there in 11 years and my first trip there with my wife. Neither one of us knew about it. We just happened to see it because we were both dragging our feet because we didn't want to leave. It was a very pleasant surprise and is definitely a must see.

Does anyone know if this occurs on special event nights as well? We're going in October but the only night we will be at MK for closing will be MNSSHP.

Unfortunately it doesn't hapoen on nights of MNSSHP/MVMCP. I would figure it's to get people without wristbands out of the park a little easier.

It is deliberate. For a second the entire castle is bathed bright white (the way it was originally lit) but lighting the spire throws the forced perspective hence its just for a second. Any longer and you'd register it.

And, it's beautiful.

I've seen quite a few goodnight kisses with the kid over the years, but the one's from me and the kid's first trip together in 2010 are still my favorite (as we had no idea they were going to happen, we were just closing out the parks, making the most of every minute!...oh, and also waiting for crowds to settle. I did my years in the parks in the 90s, I knew to avoid the "post fireworks" rush. <grin>)

If its not an EMH night they should. Best ask City Hall for times. Ask em to check tell-a-cast. Custodian CMs invariably can't pinpoint the time as we've found out.

We got our Kiss Goodnight Friday! So sweet. It was exactly at midnight. (Park closing was 11:00) Honestly, I think that will be the only time we ever do that because I'm not a late kind of person, I would rather be in bed earlier; but I loved that we got to do it once. Thank you all for sharing with us.

Also, it was really awesome to see the park empty at night. I have never seen that before either.

Good Morning all..As my planning has now started for my 2015 October vacation.One thing I was going to do if we were going back in 2016 in July was staying up ( if possible ) to 3.00am for this " Goodnight Kiss "..However since we're now looking at a definite return in 2015 and in October.Ive noticed the park hours at night are reduced,with MK having closing times of 9.00 pm with EMH till 11.00 pm..Question is,do they still have his Kissy Kissy message in October ?
