Magic Kingdom too crowded lately

Funny, when I visited Kauai and Maui years ago I didn't want to leave...
It's a beautiful place to live. But I never thought I'd be sick of the same weather day-in, day-out. I miss having "seasons"! And the traffic on Oahu is just as bad as Seattle, if not worse! The cost of living definitely sours one a little. One the plus side, we now have an excuse to visit Tokyo DL. 😁

When I traveled there, a number of years ago. I thought the people that I visited with were some of the most nicest people that I've encountered. The helicopter ride in Kauai was simply amazing. It had just rained and our pilot had flown in Vietnam, and there were rainbows everywhere in the sky. It was almost like being on Jurassic Park with the wonderful scenery and views and waterfalls. We also did a movie tour in Kauai, which was awesome. We visited the ruins of a place that Elvis and the rat pack frequented, and heard stories galore about him and other movies. I think it was called the Coco Palms. Yes, I've heard that Oahu is so built up. I heard that Tsunami's can be kind of a problem there. Funny, I used to date a girl from Seattle a time ago. She turned out to be kind of crazy, so I'm happy I wound up marrying someone else. I've always wanted to visit the Tokyo and Shanghai Disney's.

By the way, my nephew is a caterer here and he was stranded In Kauai during the fires while he was on a catering working trip. While he was stranded, he helped to feed the people of Kauai during the fires. So very nice of him. It was so awful many of the places that he was supposed to be catering had burned down at the time of his travels. He's catered for Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz (the daughter of Lenny Kravitz) before also.

I visited the Hawaiian Islands for the first time a few years ago. It was a surprise birthday celebration for my daughter, who was living on Oahu at the time. My wife's sister has lived on Kauai for over 40 years and I did an overnight trip to visit them.

Breathtaking scenery but the cost of living is also breathtaking and not in a good way. I think I'll stick to life in the Midwest and shovel snow a few months each year.

The fires were on Maui.

Have any of you noticed how crowded Magic Kingdom has been lately? Even going on weekdays I noticed it is just as crowded on the weekdays. January and February used to be great times to go but it seems like even the less crowded months are crowded now. We went the last few months and most rides had wait times that were 55 minutes or more. Haunted Mansion lines were backed up all the way to the mini outside dining area. If this is how Disney is gonna be from now on then I don't see the point in going anymore. Who wants to wait an hour for most rides that last only a few minutes? Am I the only one noticing that Magic Kingdom has gotten more crowded?
We know the Magic Kingdom was always crowded, but today Disney has managed to create a crowded Magic Kingdom while LIMITING attendance with PPRs and blackout days for their AP.

In my opinion, the Magic Kingdom feels crowded because folks cant get on attractions because of the failed Genie+ and ILL system.

The existence of the failed Genie+ and ILL system incentivizes Disney to NOT add new attractions, NOT maintain rides, NOT run the rides at full capacity. It is truly sad.

Instead of riding attractions, folks are just walking around making Magic Kingdom feel even more crowded.

It’s been horrendous the past few years, can’t stand it any more. Back then the general addition days were long as and the park hoppers were more affordable and I think that helped allot, it spread the times people came and left.
