Magic Kingdom park opening show

I have never caught the opening show at MK (really not sure why) but am hoping to do this on my next trip. I also want to have breakfast at Kona Cafe that morning and don't think I can get my mom and son moving fast enough to eat before opening. I plan to see the show then hop monorail to Poly then return to MK for the day and am trying to figure out what time I need to make my ADR. Does the show start at 9am (it's not EMH morning) or a little before and about how long will it last? Thanks for your help!

I would get there (aT mk) 20 minutes early because if its busy they open the park 15 mins early :animwink:

If memory serves me right the opening ceremony starts at 8.45 when the park opens at 9am and last for about 15 mins. I would probably allow for a 9.30 ADR at Kona. You shouldn't have problems getting on the monorail as everyone else will be going the other way.

Yes, you're right... I think the official start of the ceremony is something like 8:47am for a 9am opening!

9:30 sounds good to me too... that should give you plenty of time to head over to the Kona for breakfast.

Thanks! I was able to get the 9:30 time yall advised and am looking soooooo forward to trying the Tonga Toast I have drooled over on the food pic of the day thread!
