Magic Kingdom losing evening EMHs?

It wouldn't surprise me to see them end. It's been on the cards for a number of years to scale them back, as we have seen at Animal Kingdom and Studios.

If it is being based purely on the released schedule so far, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will stay that way.

IMO I think the only harm that’s done with them is with guest satisfaction. The crowds are awful because of high demand. Which of course is the reason why there are now after hours events.

Which are about to get busier. I suspect they will sell more tickets now that it’s the only night time option. Not a lot at first, but a gradual uptick.

So basically taking away a free perk for a lot of guests so they can make more money off a smaller group of guests.

I am not suggesting they eliminate EMH. Just confining them to mornings.

If I had my way every park would open early for resort guests. Perhaps 30 minutes. Rope drop would be on-site guests only.

Then 1 park each day opening 1or 2 hours early. Again only resort guests. Wherever park ops would need to steer them. Likely Epcot or DAK for the foreseeable future.

This. They aren't a "benefit" anymore because of high crowds. Kind of interesting to see how they cap After Hours and if it slowly starts getting busier. The selling point is "low to no wait for attractions" and so far it lives up to that. EMH seems more beneficial for those willing to get up early. But maybe have it be more than an hour.

According to Kenny the Pirate there will be no evening EMH in MK starting in Oct. Has anyone else seen or heard this. There will be morning extra hours but no night time. just saw another post on this. looks like we posted at same time . this post can be removed

Each park has such a different feel at night...
One of my favorite memories is hanging at Magic during EMH. We rode splash, then hit thunder, then someone in our group says, lets hit all three mountains... but we only had a few minutes to make it to space before the park close... and the race was on!
Ran all the way (through very minimal crowds) to try to make it before they put up the closed sign.
DID NOT make it, but it didnt matter! We could not stop laughing from the effort and out of breathness we all experienced! NIght EMH can be pretty cool!

You can still do this though. Disney After Hours is here to save you, for the low low price of all your money.

Disney:
Just Pay ~$100 for a park ticket
We'll be overcrowded
Have less hours for you to do things
If you're staying on property bus service isn't as good as it once was
Disney springs and a few other hotels can book FP's at 60 days now just like you can which means less availability
if you want a good seat for some of the night shows you may want to pay more for your meal even though good seating was once available to all

...but hey don't worry, we'll have extra special hours you can purchase to do the same things you did once before

What do ya think? Ready to book?
