Magic Kingdom Bathrooms

People can be disgusting can't they? I've witnessed toilets during HHN at Universal several times that were so bad that you couldn't even work out how they'd got that way. Last year I went in needing a cubicle and 2 of them had excrement on the seat, just resting on it. I don't even know the physics for doing that accidentally, the mind boggles. In the same cubicle there was a mark down the wall where I'm assuming somebody must have thought it amusing to wipe the used toilet paper on the wall (I'm hoping that's how they did it).

Asking Mrs Mergatroid about the ladies toilets there she said they were great, which leads me to believe it's possibly an inebriated male 'thing'?

I did go into the UK pavilion men's restrooms in Epcot one night when the guy leaving said to me "I wouldn't go in there if I were you" and he was right. Just had to hold my breath as I stood at the urinals. Thanks for this thread, so many great memories brought up 🤮
Its challenging to upkeep the bathrooms especially on a Fri/Sat night during Epcot Food and Wine at World Showcase.

One guest might make one stall messy, leave one piece of paper on the floor and spill a little soap. They won’t trash the entire bathroom.

This would be rectified by having a cast member dedicated to the busiest bathrooms at the busiest times, as they used to do.
Which I'm agreeing. But a slob will not leave "one piece of paper and spill soap." They will literally not flush, number 2 on the seat and leave a puddle on the floor. Some of these stalls need to be closed for refurbishment after 1 use.

You missed out the part where I said make one stall messy

I think in many cases it's sadly deliberate, or they just don't make an effort to hit the target or clean up afterwards as "Why should I"?

I suppose if you're drunk (F & W or HHN) then that increases the chance of males hitting the toilet seat if having a number one. However the questions that spring to mind are one, why not use the urinal and two, why not lift the seat first?

Number 2's on the seat I can only assume are because they hover over the seat to avoid germs, however unless you're the size of a house how difficult is it to not hit the target. Also if you're not going to make contact with the seat anyway, then why not lift it before you go?

The fact that as adults that we have to even debate this is mind blowing, as I said previously it actually seems harder to make some of these messes than avoid doing them?

As an anecdote about alcohol, men and toileting, my friend managed a hotel years ago. A team of guys in wheelchairs who played wheelchair basketball turned up for a stay. I'm not sure whether it was for the special Olympics or just a wheelchair league game? Anyhow once they'd checked out the cleaners came to my friends office, one of them in tears. In one of the rooms the team had left beer cans and bottles everywhere and there was excrement all over the walls and on a basketball on the bed. They'd decided to throw the basketball around after covering it with you know what after getting hammered. My friend ended up having to get specialist cleaners in to clean the room and banned these 'people' from the hotel. He had a contact number for somebody on the team and left numerous messages but never received a call back.

Again, same as with the plethora of overflowing trash cans throughout the parks…someone takes the ten minutes to start a thread and yet can’t spend 5 seconds to snap a picture…
There was definitely a time I never saw an overflowing trash can and then there was a time that I did start to see them occasionally.

Still rare thankfully.

Trash cans serve another purpose. Those are coveted table top dining for us during Epcot Food and Wine. One family even brought checkered tablecloth and white dinner napkins to decorate their trash can dining. We ensure the trash can lid is accessible for fellow guests to throw away their trash. Actually friends are made with strangers when we drink and eat by Germany.

We've eaten fish and chips on top of the bins in the UK pavilion several times, it's like a right of passage

The scent of the fish and chips location by the lake attracts my senses to stop eat and enjoy. The international cast from the UK are a joy to talk to about travels to the UK which I highly recommend.

Well yes. My wife and I are from the UK and anytime we eat in The Rose & Crown (which isn't that often as seems ridiculous to fly to America to pay over the top to eat what we can back at home) the fact we're British is an immediate ice breaker with the server. Mrs Mergatroid often rolls her eyes as within a minute she hears me say to any male server "So which football team do you support then mate" and we're talking football and pulling each other's leg if we support opposing teams  :D

Football is incredible in Europe especially in the UK.Just in London alone , has over 12 clubs in different divisions so perhaps many groups cheer for their respective clubs. I'm a Liverpool fan. Mo Salah is king.

I saw a wall unit at a restroom at AK that was overflowing and there was a CM in there cleaning the restroom so I didn’t take a photo…IF I would’ve seen it, I would’ve definitely taken a picture and posted it.
