i was looking through my mom's old photo albums today and found some pictures of the magic kingdom from april 1978, amongst others. i figured i'd post a couple of them here. enjoi!

it's the haunted mansion in the background. i can't figure out where it was taken from, though. and sorry about the blurriness.

That pic of the HM was from the middle of Fronteirland, around the CBJ. It was long before the riverwalk was built. And notice that the Rivers of America has been drained. Look at Aunt Polly's over at TSI. Then look at the Distence from the dock to the ground. It shows you how deep the River is, and you can also see clearly, that it is a cement bottem. Very cool picture, if you ask me, got something most have never sceen.

thanks for the info. thats probably why my mom took the picture, because of the river being drained. :) im glad i have such a cool picture. :) unfortunately my mom didnt take too many pictures while she was there in the 70's. all the other pictures i have are early 90's when i was a kid.

the only other ones i have are on the 1979 thread i just posted. i have some from the early 90's, but theyre not nearly as cool.

Boy, and to think I've worked there! Didn't notice, and sure should have! :hammer: Then again, give me a break, that pic was taken exactly one year BEFORE I was born! :lol:

As for on topic - I too would love to see some more back-dated pics! I was never actually in the World until '89, but I really wish I'd seen it back in the day!
