There's small fires behind Fantasyland on a surprisingly frequent basis, despite "soaker" sprinklers in the area to wet down the brush an hour or two before show time. They're almost always put out without incident by RCFD.

With that said, this is far worse than any of them have been in a long time. (Not saying it's necessarily brush-related, at least at the source... that I don't know)

How long do you think the downtime/HEA Projection Only will be?

No clue. Like I said, the fires are usually put out without incident within minutes and the show goes on, both proverbially and literally. This is without precedent, I believe, but defer to the "elders" of the site for confirmation.

Not good. I would try to pull out of my trip if we can’t expect fireworks for HEA.

You're not alone, and that's why I'd fully expect there to be nearly round the clock work to fix the issue.

If I had to guess, based solely on my many years working there, it may be that there isn't any damaged equipment at all, but rather, there are safety reviews occurring right now to avoid a repeat of the issue. Safety is paramount, and there are a lot of hands on it, especially when it comes to pyro.

Is the testing scheduled for tonight also cancelled?

They could run the castle/FL pyro without the main launches behind MK. But understandable given what happened last night.

Less than a month to go for HEA..
