Does anyone pay attention to serving sizes when you eat or do you eat how much you want at the time.

i've just started over the past few months to really watch what i eat and try to lose weight...

i still don't really care for serving sizes though; I don't eat until i'm beyond full... but i eat as much as i please...

my father though (who lost 50 pounds in 6 months) would eat until full but stop before he wanted to... and would eat 5 smaller meals per day and limit how much he ate for each of those 5 meals because thats the best way to get your metabolism going... and after time his body started only craving how much the serving size was...

OMG! Speaking of this...I went to the hospitial to film something for the city I work for last week and we went to the Diabetes Institute there and I saw what a portion size is supposed to be for some things! I was floored! It is so freaking tiny compared to what I normally eat!

Example: A banana's serving size is really around 1/3 to 1/4 of a banana! I eat the whole thing and think it's a serving! Boy, I've been getting my full servings of fruit and not even knowing it!

So, I guess to answer your question...no I don't look at serving sizes, but I'm a lot more aware now.

I started showing my DD's serving sizes for cereal and other things like soda and milk.

You'd be surprised. I definitely was. A serving of chicken is a drumstick. A serving of pasta is actually teeny tiny compared to what we're used to getting. A serving of raisins is like 20-30 raisins. It's so amazing how much we're actually putting in our mouths that is way beyond what we're ACTUALLY supposed to be eating.

My DD was thinking a 20 oz soda was one serving. It is 2.5 servings.

by the way... also OT... this congressional hearing is an absolute circus...

some of these people are just complete morons... they're just Roger fans... and asking sme of the dumbest questions ever and they sound stupid...

neither guy is gonna just suddenly say "okay, i'm the one whose been lying under oath... i give up"

one is lying... and both are sticking to their guns and its just frustrating to listen to some of these people... this was one of the guy's 5 minutes of questioning;

What color is B12? It's a red/pink color

So he only injected you with B12 and lidacane? yes

So you were in injected with B12? correct

So if he injected you, he could have your blood on some gauze? that would be possible

So the color of B12 is? red/or a pinkish

So what color was the injection he gave you??? it was a red/pinkish color (OH BECAUSE NOW CLEMENS MIGHT SAY “IT WAS BLUE!!!”)

So you don’t feel McNamee is telling the truth??? no i do not (and once again expects Clemens to say “He is telling the truth”)
