So my mother got each of the kids a Nintendo DS for Christmas. Matthew is now addicted to his Cars Mater racing game. :dazzle: We're limiting his playing time, of course, but I really question whether a 4 year old should have a video game. But, Abby wanted one, and my mother's rationale was she couldn't be one for her and not buy one for him, too.

Love the shirt!

So, Joel didn't want to do his homework tonight, so I used the 'do I have to say something at school?' thing, and oh my....it was a vale of tears ...doing his reading assignment with wavering voice. Quite amusing, really. Taking a short break before we approach his math work...our biggest trial with him. He uses this new fangled touch point math, and I feel like a blundering idiot trying to help him.

I used to take DS' picture watching TV and tell him I was showing his teacher the next day. That worked 'til about 3rd grade!

Oy.
Of course that sort of thing can get out of hand but, as long as you control the time spent on it, I'm sure it will be fine.
