Magic Dorks

SOME scrapbooking, vaccuming, and making something for dinner tonight.

Couldn't do any because of Marc working all weekend, and I was stuck with Princess Fussypants :(

I think she's teething.

I'm sorry, did you say scrapbooking? Girl, you out your mind.

Me too.
I found a way to make money doing something I love. That's the first biggie. It's slow going, but still rather steady.
And I'm tackling everything I want done in the house. No putting things off.
I don't care how long it takes. As long as it's a work in progress, things are getting done.
And George and I both have a "work for your goals" attitude this year.
I feel good about this new me.

Amy- RE the pet dander issue - it's best not to vaccum right before the Daisy meetings. It actually lifts up all the dander into the air and causes their allergies to go nuts. I'd say vaccum the day before to suck up what you can, and leave it at that. By the time the meeting starts, what was floating around in the air has had a chance to settle itself back into your carpet and rugs.

I know... She's been soooo cranky lately. None of the usual things will cheer her up anymore.

Hang in there, Mom.

How are you making money doing something you love?? And how can I get in on it? :lookaroun

Photoshop, dahling.
I started using it for fun and discovered I have a knack for it.
I edit photos for a window company on a fairly steady basis, among other things.

I don't have photoshop...

And with a $1000 crown in the future, I don't think I'll be getting it any time soon. :(

:cry::cry:This episode of Extreme Home Makeover was so beautiful.

I watched American Gladiators with Marc. Ah, the nostalgia. :p

I do digital scrapbooking.
When you have some time, go to the scrapbook threads in this forum and look at some of the scrapbook challenge threads. I've entered several over the last few months. Mine are all digital, but there are a lot of nice traditional pages in those threads, too.

Cool, good to know! Thanks!

I really need to do SOMETHING for her first year... I don't keep photo albums anymore, so this is my way of preserving things for posterity...

It's sooooo hard though!

No, what you do is, take a gabillion pictures and then work on the scrapbook when you have time. You know, like when she's in college.

Crap. I'm just jealous because you actually do it.

We don't carry dental insurance - the policy stinks, and it just doesn't make much sense to carry it. So, I'm paying the entire thing out of pocket.

Gah. That stinks. But you have to do it.

It's a lot of work though...when I got my crown (which I financed...they had a loan app right in the dentisit office!!!) I asked why they didn't just yank it and give me an implant. Apparently that's like, 6 times as much as a crown!!

Free dental advice: do not schedule your dental appointments for late in the day. The dentist WILL be tired, and you will suffer for it.

Hey Dan...I know what you look like but I don't think I've ever seen a pic of George. Got one?
Sorry, looking over the Disney Pictures.
I do have a pic of George, unfortunately I am on the lap top and have no pictures of us on here, next time I am on the other computer, I'll make sure I get one posted.

I have rearranged the house again. The wind is blowing pretty hard here. How is everyone making it through tonight?

No wind here, I don't think.
But rainy.

I'd love to see a pic of you and George when you have some time, Dan.

I do it allright... I just don't scrub the toilets for a week, or I sacrifice some other household chore so I can get it done. :lookaroun

Gotta use that 2 hour nap for some good, right?

I hate teeth.
When they hurt there's nothing like it.
And when something goes wrong, it's so expensive.
Tell me about it...

And when you're born with crappy enamel that you inherited, there's nothing you can do... I was always so jealous of the people who would brag about how they never had any cavities. I had SO many... and I had to get a cap on one of my baby teeth when I was a kid. VERY embarassing. :dazzle:
