magic bands on Dream??

Not in the capacity that the parks do. All 4 ships have a variation of the Magic Bands that are referred to as Mickey Bands. They're placed on children for easy in/out of the kids clubs. The recently reimagined Magic's Mickey's Bands look more akin to the Magic Bands from WDW. I think it's only a matter of time before the Magic Bands make their way onto the ships. No plans have been released to the public regarding this, tho. Purely speculation on my part.

Understood. Thus far, carrying the room key is no bother to me. I wouldn't want tan lines from the band, tho. I'd need to move it frequently or tuck it into my cross body bag which is what I do with the KttW card so I'm at a neutral on the band. But if it benefits others, especially being a better size & shape for the kids who wear the Mickey bands, then I'm good with it. I just like the new use of the ship Navigator app onboard. THAT I thought was super duper convenient!
Do they have it for the Dream yet??

The onboard app? I'm not sure. On the girls cruise in earlier September they did NOT have the app. The Fantasy ran 2 test cruises in September which I participated in. I believe the Fantasy has rolled out the app for all sailings now. I've not heard about the other 3 ships in the fleet. Again, I think it's something that's coming sooner than later. I've not been keeping up my reading on the Disney ships as much as I usually do over the past few weeks. We're gearing up for our first non-Disney cruise for Thanksgiving.

It's still only being advertised for the Fantasy, but I've heard it's been working on some recent Dream sailings. So they're close!

Let the Disney incompetent IT folks get it working in the parks before infecting the ships please. The bands have been in the parks ten and a half months. They still fail at basic simple functions way too much.
