Maelstrom vs. Backlot Tour

I think Maelstrom was a very unique ride compared to Backlot which I liked, but didn't leave the same impression. I think a lot of people liked Maelstrom for its "corniness" too.

Are we CERTAIN that the new Frozen attraction won't focus on the history of Norway though? What if its similar to what they did in mexico... Keep the history and storytelling true to the country, just add characters. Would everyone still be up in arms?

I had this thought (dare I say dream) as well but as much as I hoped for something like this, the tendencies of concept simplification and reduction make me feel that it's too much to ask for. Would I be thrilled with any rehash of one of my favorite rides? No, but I would feel somewhat comforted knowing that some aspect of history and culture would be preserved.
