Not to be picky, but you should really only count yourself once, which would make it 73 (and counting, I'm sure) times 3, plus one, or 219 +1 for 220, and since not all rides where full >220, and if I remember the story correctly 2 riders on one trip trip eventaully tech. yelled.

The Moral of your story? He who lives in the chariots of the Mouse will catch blowed scones.

HAHA..Very true...I did count myself, but either way, only one person, out of alot of people actually got sick ON the ride. The girl threw up after it, but she was fine, until she saw her dads puke, which made her :hurl:

So roughtly its 2-3% who are getting sick, and thats probably a bit on the high end.

My take is that there's always someone who is going to be dumb enough to eat a boatload of crap right before going on a ride that could cause people to get sick.

My problem is with Mr. Hills version of fair and balanced reporting....

Poncho's are for losers...I dont get the point, of waiting in line for 30 minutes for Splash or Kali, and then wear a poncho on the ride

Looking to the sides affects your sense of balance, and also prevents you from seeing the display, which results in you becomming disorientated, and aware of the spinning.

Exactly, Steve. Our center of balance is focused on our inner ear and the only way to counter act the impulses that are sent to the brain saying "hey i'm not drinking enough V8" is to focus another sense(your eyes) on the closest equivalent to the horizon.

The reason why you might feel nausea after the ride is because your body is still feeling the effects of that loss of balance and now you're moving it all around. If you do feel the effects after riding it, just do the same trick of focusing on a horizon. Focus on the Eiffel Tower across the Lagoon etc until you're good to go.

Ironic isn't it? The way to prevent the effects of the new attraction(Mission Space) is to focus on the old attraction(Horizons). :)

I'm sorry, I really thought I was being cool! Please don't hate me!

In defense of the so-called "losers", I don't see why I should have to spend the rest of the way uncomfortable, with shoes and socks wet, if I can just avoid getting wet. I don't remember reading on the "you MAY get wet signs" that those attractions were exclusively to "smart" Guests who wanted to get wet.

I'd suggest you take care with your wording the next time you write a post. You may be just stating your opinion but you don't need to offend anyone with it.

So are we going to have an 8 page argument about ponchos now? I certainly hope not!

*sigh*....Im sorry, but, I call everyone a loser, dont take offense, take it as a compliment. The post was just to make a little joke out of poncho wearers, but, I guess it was offensive to some...So, Im, sorry, and I DO NOT want this to turn into an argument, so drop it here, and continue one with the MS thread:wave:

He should count himself all 73 times. He went 73 times without getting sick. Some have gotten sick or partially sick just once of the few times they rode it.

No need to sigh or dread an argument, bub, just wanted to point out that little detail, is all. Hey, we never actually talked, so I had no idea "loser" was a common term of endearment on your vocabulary! We're cool, you cleared it up!

No need to upset your gloomy place, m'lady. We gentlemen have dealt with the matter in an orderly fashion. It was just a matter of clearing up facts. I know stuff tends to get hot around here, but let's not jump to the conclusion that every poster is out looking for blood, right? ;)

My gloomy place has not been upset. Just taking precautions. Usually people deal with their miscommunications and disagreements very calmly but more and more that doesn't seem to be the case. Seems like little things get everybody up in arms these days and I didn't want to see that happen. :)
