M&G

Is it just me or does Disney really skip over a lot of movies and characters that people would love to have meet and greets with? Like for example, I would love to have a meet and greet with Febus and Esmeralda, Meg and Hercules, Pinocchio, all the Brer animals from Song of the South, and many more! Is this just me or is there multiple people wishing for more M&G with certain characters?

You can rent these characters for a price.

What do you mean by that? You can specifically ask Disney to bring out these characters, but you have to pay for them? That's no fun!
No, it has to be set up in advance and will cost you several thousand dollars.

Is it possible to have a character at a private event at Walt Disney World?

Yes. You can get Mickey (or almost any other character) to appear at your wedding reception or other private event. Be aware that this level of character interaction does not come cheap. Speak with your Disney event planner for details and pricing.

Good call, however we met Esmeralda at Akershus Princess Breakfast a few years ago as well as another Hunchback character, can't remember his name off the top of my head. Also met Pinocchio, Gepetto & Gideon the cat in Town Square. I know I've seen the Brer Bear and Brer Fox before too.

Me too, especially Pinocchio, Gepetto & Gideon and Brer Bear and Brer Fox.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
There's a severe curve to the number of each M&G character in regards to popularity. Primary characters are everywhere, secondary characters might have one location, tertiary characters will come out when there's a surplus of resources, and everyone else is completely ignored.
You can't completely blame Disney: they're just delivering to the vocal majority.

believe me, I'm not blaming Disney in the least bit! I was just curious to see if it's just me who thinks Disney should have more meet and greets!

Pinocchio and Gepetto are out a lot. Everyone else is very rare, which is a shame. But yes, it is due to popularity.

Being a Pinocchio fan (my character for Halloween) I know the characters well. One on my best meet and greets was when we walked into Main Street and saw Fowlfellow and Giddeon over by Tony's. The line was so short and it was a shame but not a lot of people knew who they were. Since all the other characters out (Daisy, Pluto, Pinocchio) had huge lines, my sis and I chose to go see them. And they were a hoot. We were told by the cast member to hide all of our valuables and Giddeon tried to hook my up with That sly fox friend of his, lol Later on, while we were waiting for the parade, Stromboli joined them. It was the only time I have seen him out. I so wish they had more of those characters around.

When was this?
2007 (had to go back and look cause I couldn't remember. Can't believe it was like 6 years ago! lol)

Let's see if I can remember how to add pictures...

There we go. Yea, these guys were great. I went on to go see Gepetto and Pinocchio and had a blast with them too. Pinocchio took my bag and walked off with it, later being scolded by Gepetto and then Geptto had a nice dance with me. During the dance the photo pass guy took a whole bunch of shots and got pretty much the whole dance.

I love me some characters, lol

majority of people are looking for the big name characters for their photo memories, its just based off popularity, sure it would be nice to see the rare characters more frequently but they are labeled rare for a reason.

What would be cool, since Disney loves to have meet and greet spaces, is to designate one area only for rare characters. I don't think it would cost THAT much. You can rotate them (kind of like they do with Luke, Leia, and the droids on SSW) or have 3 at a time come out. Yea, it probably wouldn't happen but I think it's a neat thought.
