Rumor Luminous The Symphony of Us to receive updates

I would welcome them doing either RoE or Harmonious using the Luminous infrastructure during and after hours (or regular park hours as I prefer both to Luminous)

Do think Disney is missing out on $ but not doing retro nights like having RoE at EPCOT or Wishes at MK, etc

Ugh I miss RoE. Legit gave me chills every time when the lights came on for each country.
Absolutely Absolutely!

The lighting of The Countries is the best and Harmonious barely lit them up except during How Far I'll Go/Go The Distance which originally was supposed to been the chefs kiss finale for that show! Which why Epcot Forever is my favorite because the unique designed fireworks, the length of all the Countries lit up even once the show is over, it feels like New Year's Eve!

They worked so hard on Harmonious soundtrack that it seems bummer the music is like retiring like it didn't need to be credited just because no one liked the barges or IP only vibe of the show!

If I were to dream, I would love them to take Illuminations verbatim, then sprinkle in new IPs here and there (if they must) and update all the video to make use of the use of the new hardware.

I know, I know, it will never happen, :(

I really like Epcot Forever - I know it was a bit on the cheap and needs to be a bit longer and like double the pyro to be a real show, but for what it was I liked it.

Take that as the base, build it up a bit and change the finalw from A Whole New World to We Go On and I think it would be a great show

This, but still pathetic during Luminious that both Norway and Morocco are in pitch darkness. They could do something by now yet they chose to do nothing to save a few bucks.

If they wanted them to light up they could have done that decades ago. Morocco was already built and operating when the pavilion lighting was installed and Norway was under constructions. It was an intentional choice made in the late 80’s. Had nothing to do with saving a few bucks.

Talking about now, not back then which I'm aware of those details. I know why Morocco can't but they could have still done something with Norway for Luminous if they had wanted, yet chose to leave it dark. I know Morocco can't be in lights per say but a quick spot light or something wouldn't hurt.

Did Morocco and Norway stay lit up after the show when it was Illumination's. I don't remember but when Luminous is over Morocco and Norway are very lit up which I don't recall if in the past Did.

As I'm trying to find what could fix replace the fun section, I really feel this would be great after You'll Be In My Heart because it continues to show the start spirit of Life and How Far I'll Go to find where I Belong. I just think Luminous needs just a little boost with one more thing and a replacement to the fun friendship part.

You've Got a Friend in Me / or Never Had a Friend replacement or filler idea #1

That score with Luminous’s pyro capabilities? Chef’s kiss.

We will never get score of that caliber again.
We almost did with Rivers of Light I'm ngl. I know Disney is still capable of a ROE era style score they just refuse to break free of the pop music trend. Heartbeat Symphony is like a little tease of what Disney is still capable of if they go down the orchestral route

Normally I don't like the Gospel Choir sound given for an Epcot show either. The two original songs are okay because there's one or two leading singers and no section of choir singing alone. Which is why I don't like the Friend Like Me/ Never Had a Friend Part because first off those two songs are tiring already in HEA so tired of Toy Story and second the choir singing alone doesn't give anything to the song but wacky. I don't know why they didn't have a lead singer or more in this area.

I also hate the pop music trend; however, I prefer Beating of Our Hearts than Heartbeat Symphony. Heartbeat Symphony with just the song and no pyros or lights accompanying it is not that moving.

To this day, I will never understand the current trend of sandwiching an original fireworks song around a medley of IP tracks - it's lazy AF. It started with Happily Ever After and hasn't stopped. I finally saw Luminous about a week ago - and while I enjoyed the beginning and end of the show and thought the music was good - I found myself hating the middle of it where Im hearing crap from Toy Story and others. It takes you out of the element when you're forced to accept these jarring shifts from one IP to another....

All I want is one strong cohesive theme that can support the show. Illuminations:Reflections of Earth was all of that and more...The last night we saw it together, my (at the time) 13-year old daughter was crying at the end. She knew Disney was never going to achieve something else this amazing in her lifetime, and sadly, she was right.

That is true, I feel Hearbeat Symphony would worked the best at Animal Kingdom whether it's a pre show, show, or after show song. When you all mention pop I hear now the Mariah Carey approach. The song is a birth moment to the show, is it Epcot enough or this could easily been a SeaWorld number.

It's a shame Disney "Spectaculars" are now just movie and sound clips from their sundry IP hacked together as a demo reel. No real story (contrived one big happy world stuff not withstanding), very unoriginal music, and nothing to inspire. I guess its just an attempt to sell more of their off the shelf merch, you know, the same stuff you can get at your local target.
