Kind of a silly question... suppose Disney purchased the production company that made Porky's, would you consider Porky's to be a Disney film?

I suspect that over time that if people speak about movies by Lucas Films that they will alway denote those films are pre and post Disney because there will likely be a noticeable difference.

But they didn't. They basically just used the Buena Vista network to get them to theaters. AFAIK, Disney had absolutely nothing to do with their development or production. Remember, Pixar was only days away from signing with someone else for distribution rights until Disney flat out bought the company.

Edit: So Disney was definitely more involved in financing the original Pixar films that I originally thought, but they weren't involved in the actual production by the time they arrived at a finished product. That was pure Pixar.

And Nightmare Before Christmas was pure Tim Burton...

The difference, in my point of view at least, is Disney DID play a role in those first few films. Unlike the original Star Wars franchise. Even if its just financially.

This is the real question. Do you consider Toy Story 1 and 2, Monsters Inc., the Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and the other early Pixar works 'Disney movies'? Disney simply worked as a distributor and had no hand in production. Really, they're more Lucasfilm movies than Disney movies since the Pixar computer was designed at ILM.

If they're Disney movies, then I guess Return of the Jedi can be too.

What just goes to show how silly the whole "what is a Disney movie" argument really is.

Don't get me wrong, I voted no on the original question. I definitely see the argument if someone disagrees, though. Marvel pre-Avengers and Star Wars Ep. IV-VI are going to play a strong role in Disney's future.

I have zero interest in anything that is in anyway associated with any Star Wars or Marvel crap, so no, I do not consider them Disney movies.
