Geez I just love the Disney Visa Points Ive accumulated. Im sure there are people who have accumulated far more than me...but any amount is a bonus. I use for everything and never carry a balance. Ex...Just paid off this June's balance ( $2007)...paid now instaead of at arrival to get points for this visit. Most Ive accumulated is about $400....This trip I will have about $250....Its gonna pay for a great dinner at Fultons for the DW and DD and I...mmmmmmNew England stuffed lobster! How much have you accumulated in past and what do you use it for? Anything special?

We've been letting ours accumulate since 2011, so the hope is that the rewards we have will pay for all, if not most of, our food on our next trip. :D

We'll keep using the Disney Visa until a better card comes along, but for now it's fun to know we're earning rewards that we can use on our vacation.

We use it for gas, groceries, dining out and assorted household shopping. We have a different card for business expenses. Always pay off the balance on time. Just used it to pay on the Disney trip to maximize the points for reward points and get in on the free dining. We typically get several hundred point which goes to a dinner or this trip will be used for a tour, and souvenir purchases. This has been a great bonus, we are charter card members and have certainly made use of it.

Yeah its quite the bonus. For our trip last year we accumulated $500 over a 3 year period. We always pay it off monthly.

Funny thing is we did not know what to spend it on at first. We had the free meal plan, and save a few items, none of the trinkets and clothing for sale was appealing to us. So basically we used it on tips and booze.:D

I plan on upgrading to the premier card to get the extra 1% on gas-restaurants-groceries.

I don't let mine accumulate enough, I really need to! I end up on the Disney Store website way too often buying little things, and then I use my points. I think I only had about $40-$50 on our last trip, and I just used them on some souvenirs.

Since it is only me and my husband and he hates to use credit cards when we go out to eat or at the grocery store so we don't accumlate as many points as a lot of people. Most of the time end up spending my points on some kind of jewerly from one of the countries in Epcot or main street.

We used to use our Disney Visa the same. Charged everything we could then payed it all off each month. Usually earned enough points to cover all our meals for a trip.

We've since switched to a Capital One Venture though as it earns double the points and can be used for anything travel related. Just gives us more options for point usage.

In 2007, our first trip after getting the Disney Visa, we had accumulted 1,148 points and we used them for our trip that year (so it was 4 free tickets and a couple of hundred off our hotel). We went again in 2008 and 2009 using up what points we had off our hotel. Now we won't be going back until 2014. I have around 1800 points and by next year I should have well over 2000 (I'm also building GM dollars back up ... just bought a new car). My goal is hopefully have 2500 Disney dollars and some gift cards from my boss (he asks me what I want for Christmas). I'm also going to cash in my Discover card points and use them to buy Disney gift cards. My goal is for Christmas 2014 to have a practially free trip ... wish me luck!!

I usually have about $500 a year and it gets put toward our Disney trip and the points I get by charging the rest of the trip gets put against the room charges at the end of the trip.

Souvenirs. We plan on buying a picture that we would never buy without the points. We have wanted this picture for two years and have the perfect spot in our home. Also use for meals. Since we visit Disney once a year, it's great.

Does anyone know if you can use Disney reward points to buy a disney gift card? Or is that not allowed? I thought I read on here before that people have done that before, but I wasn't for sure. One reason I ask is, if I wanted to get someone a gift card for their birthday using my points, I couldn't really let them use my rewards card. Another reason I ask is... I would hope I would use my points before they expire since it is like 5 years, but I was just wondering if, hypothetically, I did get to the point where they were going to expire, could I just redeem the points and then buy a gift card with the rewards card so I don't lose the money?

Just got one a few weeks ago and used it to pay off the trip and a few other things, so we'll only have $50 or so on it. Still, that's something from the Disney store at DTD for each of the kids. Keeps them on a budget!

@pluto77 I am pretty sure you can use them to get gift cards unless they changed the policy.

We use ours for every expense we can. Then pay the balance right off. We have accumulated about $500-$600 in a year. and I am hoping to have $700-$800 by the time we go in February. We are using ours for the DDP. So basically free meals and then should have a tiny bit of spending money left over. If you go to Disney often and you don't have this card you are jipping yourself out of free money. All it takes is discipline and you just make your regular purchases you are going to make anyways, but instead of cash or check, or another card, you put them all on your Disney Visa Card and Disney rewards you for it. We are thinking of upgrading to the Premier card as well to earn that extra 1% on gas and groceries. So that we can add up the rewards even quicker and even more.

We don't use Disney visa anymore. Cap one offers way better cash back reward than Disney. More for every buck spent. We always pay our balance off every month as well.

where do I apply for this Disney credit card at?
Just go to chase bank's website and hover your mouse over products and click on credit card. If you go to "All Reward Cards" there will be a list of cards and both of Disney's cards will be under there. You can also go to disney's website and find it there as well. It will just route you back to chase though.
