There are sooooo many wonderful feelings you get either while getting to Disney or once you arrive etc. One of those Great " Disney Feelings" is after we have checked in, gone to our rooms, unpacked a little..just walking out the door knowing you are finally here and now are going to your first park!Any time you go to a park its exciting but SPECIAL being the FIRST one of the vacation....I always walk out of the resort and just take a nice deep breath of that Florida sunshine and I'm ready to go!!

Life is funny. I feel the same way when I travel to Boston and visit places such as Rhode Island.

I get the same feeling except I start to get mine a little earlier, I get excited when I actually book the vacation, and the night before is a great feeling also, I usually can barely sleep!

I know that feeling. I don't get to go very often, just cause of the expense really. I think that makes it extra special not knowing when you might get back so I always make the most of every trip. You can always rest when you get back home.

Disney is my special place. It has been a hard two and a half years as I've battled cancer. I'm winning but it has been hard. At Disney I'm at peace, healed. I'm very much looking forward to celebrating my 70th birthday there in August. Sorry, redsoxguy, I've been to Boston, it's not the same. :goodnevil

Funny the two places that make me feel like this is....Disney and Boston...both of which I call my home away from home. But since this is a Disney site. I will just say there is nothing better than those first moments on property when you have the entire vacation ahead of you and so much to look forward to. I love it...and there is nothing better than that incredible smile that spreads across the face...

Taking that first step onto Main Street and getting hit with the first sights, smells, sounds of Disney. Pure heaven. Nothing else matches the feelings inside the heart body and mind. :sohappy:

And jlevis, I agree, growing up in MA - I know, It's surely not the same!
