my sister got married in wdw last september. it was absolutely wonderful. the rehearsal dinner was at ohana at the polynesian, the ceremony was on the italy isola and the reception was in the living seas VIP room. and then we had a dessert party on the isola in england for illuminations. it was the best and most unique wedding i've ever seen. and i used to work at a catering hall and have seen over 200 weddings, so i know what i'm talking about. its pricey, depending on where u are from. i'm from long island where the standard wedding is about $50k, and my sis's wedding was less than half that, and way nicer than the weddings i've seen. it was very romantic, and a lot of fun. the guests were kinda skeptical at first, b/c they thought it would be very campy since it was in disney world, but everyone was very pleasantly surprised. the only thing i'm bitter about is that i always wanted my wedding there, and my sis stole the idea from me!

Engaged at WDW & Married at WDW

My husband proposed to me at Disneyworld. At the end of the walk around the world bricks going towards the Grand Floridian at the dead end circle.
Then we were married at the Wedding Pavillion on 02/02/02. It was wonderful. My family members still talk about my wedding.

We Honeymooned in WDW at The Polynesian when the MK was the only gate. Are planning to celebrate our anniversary there again this year or early 2006.

I got engaged last this past April in front of the Pooh ride at WDW. To make things perfect, Pooh himself was there. He was just coming out to say hi to the children, we didn't plan it. He stopped and watched, then gave me a great big hug. BTW, I'm a pooh freak.

Engaged during Wishes last year.... :)
If you love WDW and can afford to get married there, go for it! If I didn't want to sacrifice a large wedding for a smaller wedding, I would have had mine down there too. It had always been my dream to get married at WDW, but unfortunately all the people I wanted to be there would not have been able to make it. All the weddings down there seem to be soooo beautiful...

We first met there which lead to....

My wife and I first met at Disney World. Which lead a few years later to an engagement, and now our wonderful marriage. Old Key West is our second home, (Does this mean all of you are our "extended" family?) We did consider the thought of getting married there, but then having the costs of all our guests being able to afford to come down ( I am originally from Ca. and she from Mo. all of our friends and family that we would want to be there to share this special moment would have been very expensive. Instead we returned back to Disney World for our honneymoon shortly after 9/11. Mickey and Minnie were "present" at our wedding (cake topper) and our wedding invitations were embossed with the "Disney icon ears" We return home to DW (Sept 18-25) to get our magical fix.

My wife and I honeymooned at the Wilderness Lodge in November 2002. We went back for two weeks in 2003. We are going back in November for two weeks when we try out our DVC membership for the first time.

While working as a college student at the Magic Kingdom, I met a beautiful girl who also worked in the same department. A summer romance bloomed (although officially, this behavior was frowned upon) which continued after we each returned to our respective universites to complete our education. We've now been married to each other for many years.

Although we did not get engaged or marry on property, Walt Disney World will always be an inseparable part of the memories of meeting and falling in love.

My husband and I honeymooned there in Dec. 98. It was absolutely wonderful. We had lunch at Cindy's and got two champagne glasses for free. We wore bride and groom hats and got to go on first in some of the rides. We arrived there Christmas night and the place was dead. We spent New Years Eve at Dixie Landings (Port Orleans now) at the lounge with Bob Jackson. Does anyone know if he is still there? He was a hilarious piano player.

We loved Disney so much that we moved there for a year and worked there. I worked in toon town as a sales hostess and my husband was a monorail driver. It was wonderful.

we now have a 20 month old and are taking him for his first trip in Dec. 2006. We can't wait. Sorry to have babbled on so much. I just love Disney and this will be our first trip back there since 2000, when we worked there.

I proposed to my (now) wife in September of '03 in front of the Haunted Mansion. (I know, I know, that doesn't sound very romantic... but if you knew her you would understand.)

Just this past Sunday we got married in a very small (and completely unsanctioned) ceremony at the Wishing Well just next to the castle. It was a wonderful ceremony, made all the more special because it was performed by my best and oldest friend. We just arrived back home from our honeymoon yesterday.

Here is a picture of us at the Wishing Well, taken immediately after the ceremony ended:
