We met in WDW doing the college program in 1999 so our first four months of dates consisted of park hopping. The Christmas lights are unbelievable in Disney so we would hang out at the Osbourne Spectacle of lights alot. One night we were there just talking for hours on a step on NY street. That's where we both think "we fell in love", if you can pinpoint the moment... So last December we took a 4 day trip to Disney to see the lights and he proposed on our step just as the Christmas lights were turned on. Perfect proposal for us! We will be having a Disney wedding in October 2006 and about 60 of our closest family and friends will be making the trip to celebrate with us! :sohappy:

I've been with my girlfriend for almost 4 years now, and I have every intention of one day proposing to her in WDW. Now, whether or not I actually will I do not know because, well you have to time something like that pretty well. My brother just got engaged about nine months ago to his high school sweetheart of 8 years and he did it in a very suave manner, and he wanted to do it for christmas and got too excited and did it before.

I could see myself wanting to do it in Disney World, and then planning the trip for it being about 6-7 months down the road and just not being able to wait. ya know what I mean? Wanting to propose to someone and planning the trip several months down the road to do it on would be like tortute to me.

I just hope I am still with her in 3 or 4 years still and I am able to do it somewhere in WDW, possibly on the beaches of the polynesian?

We Honeymooned in WDW at The Polynesian when the MK was the only gate. Are planning to celebrate our anniversary there again this year or early 2006.

Same here, we had our honeymoon at DW in 77 staying at the Polynesian, have been back in subsequent years as many times as possible including our 25th anniversary ( will be 28 this year! )

We honeymooned at WDW in October 1974.

We had 3 nights in a lagoon view tower room at the Contemporary. Space Mountain was under construction. I remember waking up from an afternoon nap :animwink: :animwink: :o our first day there, and it was dark and all the lights were on at MK. TALK ABOUT MAGICAL!!!!

Oh, BTW, our room on one of the top floors (sorry I don't remember the number but it would on the Concierge level today) cost a grand total of $62 a night!

We then spent the next three nights at the Polynesian in a king size ground floor room with another lagoon and park view. Again, I don't remember the room number, but we walked down a few doors and were right on the white sand beach. I remember Goofy and Donald watersking by the one day we spent the whole day on the beach. Sorry, I don't remember how much the room cost, but it was less than $60 a day!

My how times have changed. It took us a week to see the whole MK...which was the only park then. We went on every single ride and attraction except for Country Bear Jamboree and the Carousel which was closed.

*sigh*

*Memories*

Oh, and YES! WDW is very romantic! :D

Lokheed, I love your wedding picture. Thank you for sharing and Congratulations!
