Love/Hate Feelings for WDW Attractions

Who has particularly strong feelings (either love or hate) for any particular WDW attractions and why?

Love - (1) Tower of Terror: It's just such a great ride, I have to ride it each time I'm there. Awesome theming, lots of fun to ride.
(2) Tomorrowland Transit Authority: Very relaxing, no lines, interesting look at Tomorrowland and the lines for Space Mountain.

Hate - (1) Jungle Cruise: Stupid, pointless, waste of time, horrible jokes by the skippers that are so unfunny they're annoying, worst animatronics in all of WDW.
(2) It's a Small World: Annoying, boring, waste of time.

Love- 1) Splash Mountain...the theme...the plot...the big drop at the end...2) RRC....the 0-60 in under 2 sec. 3) Space Mountain...riding through the dark....ol' time fav.

Hate- 1) It's a Small World....BORING...2) Pirates of the Carribean....kinda cheesey.....3) Great Movie Ride....BORING stupid...gets old after a while....4) Millionare Play It!...Give me a break...crowded...and not worth the wait.....

Love - Mostly every attraction, but I hold true love for Walt's originals. They're for family. Witty, well-loved, popular, classic, nostalgic -- anything I could ask for (COP, CBJ, IASW, Jungle Cruise, POTC, HM, TTA, HOP, SE, AA, LWTL, Mickey's Philharmagic, Cranium Command, Ellen's Energy, etc. etc. etc.)

It's fun to see you progress and live and grow with something you've enjoyed all your life. As for Walt's creations, enjoying them is a celebration! The preservation of most of them makes me proud of the company.

Now, I don't think anyone should outright HATE an attraction - and by this I mean wish its demise - because they find it boring. Rather, I think true dislike should be put in what overall degrades the Disney name (overall), drifts from the vision, or is a product of a refurbishment where the final change was worse than the original attraction.

Thus, I strongly dislike the Enchanted Tiki Room UNM (as I did Food Rocks), and I am not pleased with the changes from WoM to Test Track/JII to JIIw/F. Two attractions that are outright WRONG are DinoRama (WDW is NOT supposed to be a carnival!) and Goofy's Dancing Jamboree/Meet Woody. Give me a break.

Love: Space Mountain (Fun, exciting), TTA (Relaxing, good views), Haunted Mansion (Relaxing, and nice atmosphere), BTMR ( Same as Space Mountain), ToT (Exciting, cool atmosphere, fun), RnR (same as Space Mountain, BTMR, and ToT), Spaceship Earth.

Hate: Indy Speedway, Swiss Family Treehouse, Fantasy Land Carousel, Ariels Grotto, Millionaire, Mexico Ride...

I might want to add a note - I put all my "don't care abouts" in my likes. Mainly, because I don't hate them!! But, I know, for the public, it's an overall "okay" thing. Many people love it, and that's why I love it.

Another thing, the dislikes. I don't really care about Ariel's Grotto, but I agree that it wastes too much space. That doesn't mean I HATE Ariel's Grotto, but I think the space can be used better. After all, it's a huge area for meet and greet...which can occur...anywhere. So it's still in my "likes".

With human tastes, it's a whole spectrum...not just black and white. That's why I posted the ratings thread yesterday.

The 'love' list is too huge to include in its entirety, but there are certain rides attractions that spring immediately to mind: TTA, Space Mountain, El Rio Del Tiempo, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Splash Mountain, Great Movie Ride, Spaceship Earth, Alien Encounter.

I don't think there is an attraction that I hate. There's plenty that I choose not to do or that I do not find personally interesting, but as Grizzly said, hate is a pretty strong emotion.

That said, there's plenty of attractions that I feel are pretty lacking: Test Track, Alladin's Magic Carpets, Triceratop Spin, Dinosaur, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, It's Tough To Be A Bug. While I enjoy the new Journey Into Imagination With Figment more than JIYI, I find it rather irritating until the finale with Figment. That whole "smell" room really irks me.

And I know I'll catch flack for it, but I think Fantasmic is about the most overrated attraction on WDW property. The Sassagoula River cruise between Port Orleans and Downtown Disney is more exciting than Fantasmic. :)

The ONLY attractions I HATE are listed above. I somewhat hate Journey into Imagination with Figment due to track space reasons, among many others, but I like many aspects. Plus, its way better than JIYI. So that has remained in "Likes".

Love: ToT, RnRC, Space Mountain, CoP, the Peoplemover, Pirates, SE, Horizons (R.I.P.) ...oh gosh, I'm sure there's something I'm leaving out!

Hate: nothing that I've been on is an actual "hate", but I have not been to the World since 12/00, so there's a lot I haven't done!

I love the tower because it gives me a rush everytime. I hate small world because it is sooooooooo dated. I love the adventurers club at PI way fun.

Love ~ Space Ship Earth (the music, the slow comfy ride and the smell that comes out of the fall of rome.)

TOT! (the rush!! the story, I've always been a Twlight Zone Fan.)

Dinosaur (it scares me to death and I love the way fear feels, the bumpyness and cold air) and

Kali River Rapids because of the message and the smell the fire gives off (the same smell like in space ship earth.)

Hate but can tolerate ~ Space Mountain (I love the music but the ride is just iffy)

It's a small world because I love the animatronics and the panda when china comes up. (the music can die, the show can stay)

Jungle Cruise ~ I just no.... x_x

i think the only attraction i dislike (hate is a strong word) is Speedway. just plain boring as a 28 year old. as a kid, maybe different story, but since i owned a go-kart that could smoke those stupid cars, i looked and laughed and said, "on to space mountain dad".

Love: Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth

Hate: Test Track. The ride itself is fine (albeit too short), but the line is always long and half of the time I get in that line the ride breaks down before I get on it. Also, the World of Motion was more my thing. I'm happy that other people like TT, but I don't entirely understand why the two attractions couldn't co-exist (other that cheap Disney execs.)

Potc, splash mountain, buzz, SSE, TOT, rock and roll, Dinosaur, Safari, Muppets, Phillarmagic. I'll just stop there because I'll keep going on and on.

Hate:

360 movies, Living Seas (sorry guys), Swiss Treehouse

Thats really all I can think of at this time

I totally agree with you, disneydudette!!! I really love Splash Mountain. I even miss it!!! Sometimes I close my eyes and keep imagining it, as if I were there. The line, boarding, "how do you do?", and there comes Brer Rabbit (if the AA is working :D), and into the laughing place...

But nowadays I have a bigger love: WISHES It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my whole life!!! It's beautiful, it's moving, it's awesome!!!!! I get misty-eyed just to think of it... Starlight, starbright... first star I see tonight... Oh, man!!!!!!

HATE - Swiss family treehouse, tiki room, hunchback of notre dame, millionaire... boring... boring... boring...

ToT, RnRc, TT, MS, Star Tours but only in the last row! :D HM, SM,Primevil Whirl..always makes us laugh!

Hate:
Swiss treehouse, Living with the Land(so boring!),Sounds Dangerous
