Louis from "The Princess and the Frog"

Louis has become a favorite character of mine after seeing "The Princess and the Frog" (great movie, definitely "Aladdin" or "The Lion King" caliber). Has Disney ever done a Louis meet-and-greet, and, if so, will Disney still be doing them in November? I'd like to have a picture with him.

Since the film is now Disney 'canon', or at least Tiana is an official princess, PatF will probably have a presence in the parks sooner or later.

(it's one of my favorite movies too) ;)

Princess Marathon

He was out for photos during the Princess 1/2 Marathon. I actually got to run with him! He was coming out of his trailer and I ran up to him, he jogged with me to his M&G spot. It was actually one of the highlight of the run for me. (I will post a picture once I figure out how to.)

But I don't believe he does M&Gs in the park. Maybe he'll be a "Special Events"character. Would love to see him again in October during MNSSHP!

I laughed out loud when he jumped aboard the riverboat, played a few notes and jumped out while all passengers shot him. :ROFLOL::lol:

I love the interaction between him and Raymond when he's pulling the burrs out of his butt. "Well this particular extraction is gonna take some time" :ROFLOL:

Being from Louisiana, I got a LOT of the wise cracks and sayins... I especially LOVED it when Naveen said that they werent from around "here" and Ray says, Oh, ya'll from Shreveport??? Being from that area, it was funny to hear it in the movie!
I personally LOVE RAYMOND! His grandmother firefly with the walker was HILARIOUS in the movie!!!!!! At least he ended up with his "evangeline">... One of the BEST movies Disney has done in a LONG TIME! I do hope they have more of the characters from this film out in the parks.

I KNOW!!! We live in New Orleans and the whole theater died laughing at the Shreveport line!

I thought the Evangeline reference was a nice touch too :)

For those of you that might be interested, Evangeline is kind of the "Cajun Juliette". Here's a Wikipedia article describing the "myth" of Evangeline and Longfellow's poem:

Haha yeah, funniest scenes in the movie. "I tried once...I didn't end well.":ROFLOL: Louis' facial expressions and movement were wonderfully cartoony, first-rate animation. Eric Goldberg, the supervising animator for Louis (and the Genie from "Aladdin"), won the Annie Award for Best Supervising Animator for his work, and he definitely deserved it. And that's why I really liked the character - he's hilarious and well-drawn.

It's a shame they don't have Louis in the parks yet, but I remember reading somewhere that the merchandise and DVD sales for the movie are strong, so it may only be a matter of time. I hope Disney incorporates the movie into the Florida parks somehow in the future.

Quick! Everybody, buy the DVD right now so Louis will be in WDW in November! :D
