Man, when I was at All Star Sports in September the Surf pool was closed. Now the Grand slam pool is going to be closed this time. I can't win.:shrug: Oh well, BB is just a quick bus ride away :)

Or a very pleasant walk! From ASSports, follow the short path past McDonalds and under Osceola Parkway, take a right at Winter/Summerland, and you're there.

I know :sohappy: I love to walk, my wife however isn't to fond of it, so we don't do much walking (at least not outside of the parks). I've walked to McDonalds by myself on a number of occasions. I usually go around 12:30 - 1:00am. It's a very relaxing walk (just watch out for the busses pulling up to the front building).:eek: I can't wait. Less than 3 months to go:sohappy:

This is the time of year they do the refurbs on pools, TL and BB. Basically this is done now because crowd levels tend to be lower and the weather much more cooler so you might not be going into the pools. You wouldn't want them to do refurbs in the summer.

Wow, that really is a lot of pool refurbs! I'm planning to stay at Caribbean Beach. According to that site, the pool refurb there looks to be done by September 15. That's good news for me. Hopefully it'll stay like that.

"The Volcano pool will be closed starting February 11, 2008. This is something that happens every year around this time of the year to do normal maintenance." (Tikiman)

wow--I thought the pool refurb at Carribbean beach was just to the slide--it looks like the whole thing is dug up and they are starting from scratch! It will be cool to see it when it is done--but I am glad we decided to stay at POR again this trip & not Carribbean Beach!

Maybe when they refurb the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter they will raise the dragon over by the hot tubs. Every time we go there I hit my head at least 3 times over the course of the trip. I love the resort but I always forget and it is just at the right height, above my sight but low enough to hit my head.

I am at the CBR this week. The main pool is gone and the small pools seem a bit small to support "Pool Living" through the summer. They had one of the gates open this morning and I got to look inside the pool area. It is all dirt. The pool is completely gone. I will see if I can take some pictures at some point this afternoon if anyone is interested.

Slightly unrelated, but does anyone know why Tinker Bell's Treasures is getting a 2 month refurb (1/6/08 - 3/16/08)?
