Hey Everyone!
I wanted to post this because I am soooo relived that GREAT PEOPLE are always looking out for others in the Happiest Place On Earth. I frequent WDW...and am always very careful not to lose items in the parks and at the resorts. Well, my last trip 2 weeks ago was MY first "UH-OH". My girlfriend bought me a beautiful XOXO butterfly purse (im in love w/ butterflies)and I noticed that I lost it about 2 days after I got home.... luckily my wallet wasnt in it. I looked everywhere for it for about 1 week before finally calling WDW. Anyhow, I called Disney and LOSTnFound had it and is sending it to me. I'm so happy and truely know that good people are out there and the magic doesnt stop in the parks...it's in the heart .

In 1999, I left a 35mm camera on the bus when I got off at MGM.
I went to Lost & Found and reported it missing. My heart was broken, not about the camera, but about the pictures I had already taken of my 2 daughters' first trip to DW. I checked back a few times before we left, but it had not turned up at Lost & Found. A week after I got home, I received a package in the mail from DW. It was my camera!!! I was stunned!! I mailed a check to DW to reimburse them for the postage that it cost them to mail it to me. It was returned to me voided and with a note saying that they could not accept the check. They were so happy to be able to return my camera to me. It was a magical moment for me!! I will never forget that! :)

i found a $100 bill while working parade one night, just laying in the middle of the street! turning that in to a manager (especially as a disney cp) was VERY hard... but I wouldn't have been able to sleep keeing it! haha. :brick:

I lost a little white cat (Pound Kitten Stuffed Animal) in Contemporary when I was younger...we left our name and number, hoping it would be found...no such luck.

That was my favorite stuffed toy. It was white, a bit dusty/dirty, with a red collar. I called it Snowflake.

I miss it now. :(

That's awesome! We just got back a few weeks ago from WDW, and I realized that I wasn't wearing my cross necklace. Well, we called lost and found, and a lady said that she thought she'd seen it, and just a few days later, it was sent to me. I don't know how they found it, but I'm so greatful!

I wish my Mom was as lucky as you. A couple years ago my mom lost a diamond from her ring, and unfortunately no one found it :( She was really heartbroken...

Sorry folks to say this but its pretty much luck of the draw when you lose something nowadays at Disney. It never used to be that way but things, or should I say people have changed. I lost my wallet on July 21st in the men’s room near Germany, reported it lost and now almost two weeks later, nothing, nada, zip. I had $32, 3 AP's 2 credit cards, my license and SS card and un-replaceable pictures of my family. The clown who found it had to know the AP's would get canceled as well as the credit cards and that I'd put a watch on my credit reports so why not just take the $32 dollars and drop it off at lost 'n found? They must have seen the pictures of my daughter and had to know that her vacation would be affected by this loss but it mattered not to this individual. It took me under a minute to realize that I had lost it and get back to the men’s room but it was too late. The good part is that the next day I found a Sony camera over in tomorrow land and I will tell you, I considered keeping it for about a second but I guess I was brought up the right way and turned it over to lost ‘n found.

We left one of our bags of souveniers on the bus back to POR on our last trip. I wasn't until after we got home that we couldn't find it. We called Lost and Found and they had it! I was shocked that there were still honest people left that turned in lost items. :)

I'm glad you were brought up right and realize that Sony cameras are junk. :D

January, 2005 left my camera bag with a brand new Sony Digital recorder and my brad new 5MP digital Kodak camera on the Bus. Bus driver turned in and I had it all back within hour of losing it. The CMs were awesome, especially the unknown one that turned it all in.
