Wife and I were talking the other day about things from Food and Wine, and the old Wonders of Life Pavillion. Still not 100% sure what's up with the building( heard a lot of rumors about the bldg nothing that seems to fit or stick) but in a perfect world, they could have used the original Cranium Command as a Inside Out themed attraction with Joy taking Buzzs place.... and used some of the old theaters and update the other attractions etc inside to Inside out or even Elementals
Just thinking out loud. I know Elementals didn't do so well in theaters but it would fit nicely with Inside Out

Not sure there’s anything left of Cranium Command to use.

A few years ago there were rumours, or talk, of an Inside Out attraction. Didn’t come to anything though.

From what I understand everything is still there. With the exception of Body Wars which was stripped for Star Tours since they are the same platform. There was an article in the paper that said everything was there when someone stole Buzzs clothes and sold them on Ebay. There may have been a video also of Urban Explorers type. Even still all the set decorations would have to change to I/O. New Video and programming etc. I just think it's a waste sitting there and could have been a cute attraction.

Not sure why there not using the building. I heard somewhere that there was a sinkhole under it, but if that's the case, why open it once a year to keep the occupancy license open? It's like the Oddesyy restaurant. That was closed and never reopened, was used for special events like Food and Wine. Though that just reopened after probably 20 years as a chicken place.

The rides have been removed. The last announcement was it would become the Play! Pavilion with several character meet and greets, interactive elements, etc. That has since been "paused". I believe Odyssey was used for cast dining after it closed to the public in the 90's and until it was reopened to the public a handful of years ago as "The Epcot Experience", and now serving food again as Brewwings.

You're new here, but wherever you are getting your "rumors" from is really misinformed.

Body Wars and Star Tours all used the same parts and technology. Its called ATLAS. Disney purchased 2 sets 1 for Star Tours in DL and Body Wars. They then bough the tech in the mid 80s, and installed the tech and simulators in the remaining Star Tours Attractions among other things. As of 2014, the simulators and its tech were removed from WOL. Most likely, as the tech is the same in at least 6 different rides in the various parks, BW became a spare parts pool.

Up until at least mid 2019, Buzz and CC was still in the bldg, as 2 former cast members stole items from Buzz, and was arrested for the crime in May of 2019.1 also had pictures of the missing Buzzs head on his social media account. Buzz was confirmed as stolen by OCSO in 2019, as the hydraulic lines were cut and fluid was seen leaking from his mount area and on the floor under it.

Marty Sklar himself, and the company that built EPCOT confirmed the presence of a sinkhole in the area of Oddesey in 2012, at a D23 event. That same sinkhole was also rumored to be under or near Horizons and WOL also. Per Marty and the construction company, which also built the Twin Towers in NY,no matter what they did, the ground kept swallowing up the steel piles they drove in. They could never find hard enough footing to build on. They ended up covering the hole with giant steel plates.

Putting the 'bits you can see' aside inside the show room, even if those were intact its still a far bigger job. The old mainframes running the rides would need replacing, all the wiring, lighting, etc. When somethings been closed for that long its never going to be an easy thing to try and reopen it.

WoL was already in a spot of the park easy to miss, combined with the lack of interest it was never going to be worth simply giving the rides a facelift.

(PS stop listening to rumors, almost all of them are nonsense ;) )

Which rumor?
I do agree most rumors are not worth their time listening to. However when the man that helped build most parks, knew Walt personally, and is a Disney Legend speaks, it's probably true.

With Universal's Simpsons license nearing it's end, Wonders of Life will become this.. and you'll like it.

A sinkhole near Odyssey as confirmed by Sklar seems plausible.

But to conflate that with rumors that there was *another one* by Horizons shouldn't be done. That's just a rumor rumor with no supporting witness. And debunked by people here in the know. A multi-ton ride wouldn't have been built on a sinkhole even with a huge metal plate.

1. We know
2. We know
3. False. Things that Marty said been proven wrong before. You don't build on top of a sinkhole and anyone, especially Disney, knows this. And there wasn't a D23 event in 2012, the first one was 2013 in Japan. And there would be no logical reason why WoL would even be mentioned in Japan.
