What (besides ToT) could help the Paris Studios?

It appears smaller than the one in Florida.

The Armageddon Show looks nice, The Movie shows they have seem good, the Auto Stunt Show seems great, and they do have a cheap RnR. What else would help? Do they have many themed restaurants like MGM in Florida?

There is a large area for eating - Studio 1 I think, but this is a "fast food" style. Plus there is another similar place near to RnR but I don't remember any table service places in the park itself.

I will check when I am there for New Year (sorry had to get that in! :sohappy: )

There's hardly anywhere to eat.

Studio 1, a sandwich (IIRC) place next to the TV studio and a small little "American Diner/Trailer"

Places to eat at the WDS

1. En Coulisse
huge fast food place inside Studio 1 - two levels, quiet nice themeing, but fast food (McDonal's like) only

2. Rendes vous d'Stars
buffet style restaurant based on studio cafeterias from old studios. Really good food at decent prices, quiet nice art deco interior

3. Backlot Express
another huge fast food place, near the Rock'n'Roller. Basically similar to the Backlot Express at Disney MGM Studios in WDW, even so the food is less burgers more European, so warm sandwiches and that.

4. Cafe d'Cascadeurs
Airstream-trailer with adjacent out door seating, in the style of a classic 60s dinner somewhere at route 66. Placed opposite of the stunt show (therefore the name: Stuntmens' Cafe) offering hot dogs, nachos and that kind of stuff (strangely no veggie food!). Very small

5. La Terrasse: partly covered out door seating, served by two mobile food carts offering drinks (warm & cold), hot dogs, sandwiches, ... using the already prepared entrance of what was supposed to become the ToT-entrance

6. numerous smaller food carts with snacks and drinks

Article in Western Daily Press

hmmm ... I just posted a news about that article on DLP.info at http://www.dlp-guidebook.de/NewsAndRumours/Financial_News.htm

Basically I don't see any news in there. The bad financial situation was known already and the 31st of March is only the day the current waivers for any debt payments end (as was known quiet some time already). The spokesperson of EuroDisney S.C.A. already said last summer that if all debt payments would come up as originally scheduled they could not service all of them - that's why they got the waivers issued to find time to renegotiate. So basically all of this was known already...

Oh and one last word about the guest numbers in that article: they are from the Amusment Business list and I HIGHLY doubt them. If you add WDS & DL numbers up you get the official number released by the resort (they don't say how much each park got but only combined). But: each WDS-ticket gives free access to the DL after 5 pm - so I think the DL number should be higher...

Quite honestly, we never saw the fit for Disney and Paris. We've been shareholders for over 20 years (loved those splits) and have spent many years living both in the United States and in Europe and we wondered how this would read long term. But Paris Disney isn't the only park with problems, on this side of the pond WDW and California are having difficulties with the poor global economy and travel worries haunting vacationers (and now with Roy out of the picture and animation booted out of MGM in Florida, oh dear). But, we're sure there will be an upswing for the corporation again, the gloom and doom forecasters will always be there, but so will the corporation's incredibly talented and foresighted geniuses!
