Looking for some Grand Floridian advice

How's it going everyone? I'm gearing up for a Disney visit in May and I've been contemplating if I should stay @ GF or not. I went there last year for dinner at Citricos and was very impressed by the resort. My thoughts were "I want to stay here next time." So here we are...:D

Just looking for some input by members on the forum who have stayed at GF before. I've been reading through the Trip Advisor reviews and it seems to be back and forth, but I really like the Monorail access especially since a member of my party will be riding around in an ECV.

Well...one step closer to my Disney vacation...Just booked my airfare. :sohappy:but those escalating fuel prices made it close to $1000 round trip for two people. Last year I paid about $450 for the both of us.

With that in mind....

I decided to look into the Spring room offer by Disney for the month of May but GF is still quite pricey.

Rate per Night
Thu, May 24 $ 429.00
Fri, May 25 $ 496.75
Sat, May 26 $ 496.75

These prices are for a standard room and nothing fancy. My question is how much does it cost to stay @ GF when the promotion is not applied lol. I did a reservation in sept and the rates were practically the same so I think the 30% is not applying correctly. I will probably give Disney a call to get the full scoop on the promotion. If those prices are accurate, I may have to switch to a moderate resort. :(
