looking for good Brit bands!

Hey all, dunno, but I'm really on a huge british music search right now. For all you brits (and americans included, if you have to.. I guess) what bands do you love? To give you an idea of what I like to chill to, I love Radiohead, Coldplay, Oasis and the Stone Roses (only ones I know of) Whatever you can offer, I'll see if I can dig it up on Amazon! Thanks all!

I'm a fan of Prodigy and The Cure. You may also want to check out some classics like the Beatles if you haven't already. (I almost feel silly mentioning the Beatles as if they were some kind of secret, but I don't think very many people my age or younger think to check out the classics.)

Yeh i love the stone roses, but if u want good british music there is a nu band over here called the darkness well they have been around for a while like but they are only making it big now, listen to them its very chessy rock.They say ac/dc, zeppiln and def leppord are their influnences

Some of the early stuff is good, another gd british band is the manic street preachers.

If you want to limit the search to Brit bands that never really caught on in the U.S., I would recommend two:

1. The Jam. Start with All Mod Cons, one of my favorite albums of all-time. Fabulous from start to finish and includes the epic classic "Down in the Tube Station at Midnight".

2. Blur. Here, I'd recommend Parklife. "Girls & Boys" got a smidgen of airplay in the U.S., but nothing else did. "End of a Century" and "Badhead" are great Brit pop songs.
